Let’s go… one more time!!!

TODAY!

We’re gonna get out to “The Hill” in Central Park again today. I’ll crank up around 1:00 and play all afternoon, until around 5 0r 5:30… or until I fall over… whichever comes first. Right now the weather looks like it’s gonna cooperate and we have the paperwork, so we’re all set to spend another afternoon of music and laughs, thoughts and feelings and… Love.

THERE ARE A TON OF PHOTOS FURTHER DOWN THE PAGE!

Looks like we’ll also do a special LIVE stream of “It’s Just Us” from “The Hill. We’ll start streaming LIVE at 3:30

Quick aside — I’m still living this Life with open arms and Love, but ZERO tolerance for people who voted for or continue to support the abomination that is TRUMPISM. As my song says, “I hope they feel like joining us someday.” But until that day, the rest of us have work to do!!!

“It’s Just Us”

Hey listen! We’re still hangin’ out LIVE twice a week. On Wednesdays, we go LIVE at 4:00 (eastern). On Saturdays we stream LIVE from Central Park, starting at 3:30. And we always stream LIVE from my studio in The Heights on the days we’re not at “The Hill” so check back.

As a completely independent artist, I had to figure out a way to make a living with the online gigs. So if you wanna help out, you can throw as much or as little as you want at “It’s Just Us”!

We started doing it at the onset of the pandemic, but it’s so much fun and we’ve made so many wonderful friends that we’re gonna keep it going. COME JOIN US!

Y’know, even as I make the transition from singer/songwriter to a career as a playwright, I still have a LOT of music to share with you guys! So we’ll keep doing these online gigs. So in the meantime, if you would like to become a patron, click on that banner up there.

We sing together. We dance together. And we don’t even hafta leave our homes. Fun people from New York City, California, West Virginia, Maine, Missouri, Indiana, Long Island, The Netherlands, The UK, Spain, Estonia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Las Vegas, North Carolina, Arkansas, Maryland…

Thanks for being in the audience

Last year we took a run at a magnificent theatrical experiment and a lot of were a part of it… maybe the most important part. The audience. I assembled a cast of Tony Award winners, veteran actors, exciting newcomers… just incredible artists to do a LIVE online reading of this audacious script. (Chuck Cooper, Austin Pendleton, Jillian Louis, Teresa Reynolds, Jamal Thomas, David Andino, Paul Olson — stage directions read by Gretchen Cryer)

Looks like this play has found a few Creative champions to move it to Broadway, probably later this year. It will be my first on Broadway and kick the door open for a few other plays and musicals. I’ll let you all know!!!

After the reading that night we’ll all retreated back to my Facebook page for comments and discussion. It was very cool. Before that, during the height of the pandemic, we enjoyed a LIVE reading of my newest play “GREEN ROOM”.

Many of you know I’ve been making a transition from a Life as a songwriter to a career as a playwright. I feels like the time is right to sit in the dark with you guys and allow my characters to help hasten the day that “religion” becomes a memory for the human race. A percentage of my work is always dedicated to that goal… but I have my own fun way of making that a reality one day.

WHAT A RIDE!

WE ALL CREATE TOGETHER

Over the course of the past 2+ years we started to Create music videos together… to help keep us sane and connected. Here’s one of the most recent videos that a bunch of you jumped in on.

Still sharing music…

Thank you, guys!

As I make the transition from a Life as a singer/songwriter to a career as a playwright, I realize that I still have so much to share with you guys.

We had another great time in our LIVE online edition of “It’s Just Us” this past Sunday. We’ll go LIVE again on Wednesday… and start the stream at 4:00 (eastern).

For you New Yorkers, weather-permitting I’ll also see you guys at “The Hill” in Central Park this coming Saturday. Two Saturdays ago we spent another afternoon sharing music and laughs, thoughts and feelings and… Love.

THERE ARE A TON OF PHOTOS FROM OTHER SATURDAYS FURTHER DOWN THE PAGE!

Listen… there’s no kidding ourselves. Since the onset of COVID-19 things have been very different at “The Hill”. Crowds have been smaller. The energy is decidedly different. The whole city feels very strange in many ways. But when I’m paying attention, I still feel like the luckiest man on the planet. Maybe when we make the move to Broadway in the spring, things will change in Central Park even more. But for now, I’m so grateful to every single one of you who shows up.

AND… I’m already looking forward to “The Something’th Annual Year End Concert” on Saturday, December 10 at Merkin Hall in The Kaufman Center.

Strange Days Indeed…

But we still have MUSIC!

Y’know? Even as I make the transition from a Life as a singer/songwriter to a career as a playwright, I realize what a lucky man I am and that I still have a lot of music to share with all of you. This online global community that we Created because of the pandemic has continued to be… well… something very cool.

I wasn’t sure if we were gonna do a hang today. But I received a couple of beautiful emails and decided it’s a “go”. Nothin’ fancy. Just you and me and Jane and the music.

Cool?

I’m shooting for the regular time of 4:00 (eastern) But I might be a few minutes late. just show up and we’ll get it going.

And seriously… like Evelyne and Karen have done and Neal does on a regular basis. Maybe invite a friend today!

Copy, paste and email them the link. Just please don’t post it on social media. We’ve been great at avoiding crashers and MAGA-types!
See you at 4:00 (eastern)

(If you aren’t a patron and need the link, just ask at thatguitarman@yahoo.com.)

AND! We have our permit to share music in Central Park this coming Saturday and the first 3 Saturdays in September. So it’ll be great to see you guys at “The Hill”.

And listen… if you wanna receive email alerts and the link to all of our fun online hangs, just become a patron for as little as $5 … A MONTH!

It’s Just the News…

Outta Town

Y’know? Even as I make the transition from a Life as a singer/songwriter to a career as a playwright, I realize what a lucky man I am and that I still have a lot of music to share with all of you. This online global community that we Created because of the pandemic has continued to be… well… something very cool.

Listen, I’m NOT gonna be able to do an edition of “It’s Just Us” this Wednesday.

And it looks like I’m gonna be called outta town for a few days to take care of something of a personal nature. So I’ll be off the grid for a little while. But as soon as I get back on the radar, I’ll let you know where and when we’re getting together again.

A few Saturdays ago you guys came out and we had a cool time sharing music and laughs and Life and Love out there in Central Park. You guys are the best! It was another “typically amazing” day. We’ll talk about when we get together LIVE on “It’s Just Us”.

It’s amazing in Central Park. But when we get together online we sing together.

OH! And thanks for being in the audience

I wanna sincerely thank every single one of you who showed up, even for one day out there at “The Hill” You make me feel like the luckiest man alive. Here are a whole bunch of photos from our 2019 season.

Probably SATURDAY…

“It’s Just Us”NEWS !

All of you who showed up for that Special Edition of “It’s Just Us” last Saturday helped me out in SO many ways! It was really difficult to make the decision to stay out of Central Park. It was just too much like a damned oven to ask sweet people to sit on “The Hill” in that heat.

So having the LIVE music hang was the right call… and a LOT of fun!!! Y’know? Even as I make the transition from a Life as a singer/songwriter to a career as a playwright, I realize what a lucky man I am and that I still have a lot of music to share with all of you. This online global community that we Created because of the pandemic has continued to be… well… something very cool.

I’m NOT gonna be able to do an edition of “It’s Just Us” this Wednesday.

So the next time I see you will probably be at “The Hill” in Central Park.

Looking at the sky…

A “Crazy-Making” Saturday

Okay… this is shaping up to be another “crazy-making” day. I’m planning to share music with a few thousand of my closest friends at “The Hill” in Central Park. But I’ve been watching the radar and satellite imagery like a farmer for the past 30+ years… and today is looking like one of those days that is impossible to forecast.

I love it when the weather is perfect for us. And I’ve learned to have fun going LIVE online when we get rained out. BUT THESE “IFFY” DAYS MAKE ME CRAZY!!! PLEASE CHECK BACK.

If we call it a “rain-out” we’ll get together right here at your computer and stream a LIVE special edition of “It’s Just Us” at 3:30 (eastern) (The past few weekends have been great out there at “The Hill”. )

“It’s Just Us”

Hey listen! We’re still hangin’ out LIVE twice a week. On Wednesdays, “It’s Just Us” goes LIVE at 4:00 (eastern). Today I hope I’ll see you at “The Hill”. We’ll also stream LIVE from there to all of our friends across the country and around the world. But if we get rained out, I’ll do another special edition. Check back and I’ll let you know. In the event of a rain-out we go LIVE at 3:30.
