THANK YOU so much for showing up!
Hey listen, I might start the day by saying “HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY” to all the moms out there. But to me… every day is Mother’s Day for all the wonderful moms out there.
Okay… so the weather sucked this weekend.
But I have so many cool people in circle of friends and fans, we had a great time “online” ding a RAIN OUT EDITION of “The Weekly Show”. About the best way I can say thanks… is with a song.
Guys, no kidding. On May 5 we started a new season. YEAR 27.
Every year I feel weird and lucky… and even a little nervous about heading back out to Central Park with my guitar. It’s still almost “unbelievable” that I can just show up near The Lake, put my guitar on my shoulder, and in a little while be in the middle of so much magic again. THANK YOU.
Really missing Teresa Reynolds, but it was so, so, SO good to see so many familiar faces in person again after hangin’ out “online” the entire off-season. The shared music. The laughs. The warmth. The smiles. The breeze. Those spontaneous moments. That “It’s Just Us” feeling.
Two dancing wedding couples. A laughable assault from some Trump-supporter asshole during “Tom Cruise Scares Me”. Two of my newest songs… hits. And dancing to “Brave” and “Don’t Stop Believing”. Pretty damned cool. And it was really good to see our photographer friends, David and Sean out there as well. I’ll be back all week with their photos and maybe some video.
OH LISTEN — I’m raising money again for the “Permit Fund”. I figure it costs me a little less than $100 a day to get out to the park between permits and whatnot. It’s just something I do every year if you feel like being a part of the gig and helping to take care of some of the overhead involved in getting out to Central Park on Saturdays throughout the summer. All of the permit fees are paid for… the Special Events Permits and the Sound Device Permits from the NYPD. But… if you think you would like to help out in that regard, every year I do a little something called the “Permit Fund”. (It’s only there if you can afford to help and if you feel like it.)
NOW, THIS PAST WINTER I came up with new show idea… after having a few weeks to let the dust settle, I’m pretty convinced that the basic concept I have for this new show is right. And the feeling I have… the feeling about the appetite for a new show like the one we started to develop at The Thalia in April… is also dead-on. Gonna continue my search for a Creative producer in this town with both vision and balls. Because…
NOW it’s time to get to work!!!
HERE’S A VIDEO OF A SONG THAT WILL DEFINITELY MAKE IT INTO THE NEW SHOW.
“GET OUT OUR HOUSE”! I need everybody’s help sharing it across the country and around the world. Click the image to watch.
You can also copy this link… ( https://goo.gl/S6c8FY ) …paste it all over the internet and email. Have fun.
I WANNA SAY “THANK YOU” TO EVERYONE WHO HELPS MAKE MY LIFE AS AN ARTIST AS WONDERFUL AS IT IS. NOW…

THERE’S MORE VIDEO FROM THE CONCERT ALL UP AND DOWN MY FACEBOOK PAGE RIGHT NOW! I’ll be posting some more really soon. But photographer David Hayase was the first to get his photos into the website from this year’s concert. So here’s a handful.
SEE YOU SOON!!!
Oh, and when we get rained out this year, we’ll make those “online” days… special rain-out editions of “The Weekly Show”.
Thank YOU for showing up. If you’re new around here… WELCOME! If you don’t follow me on Facebook, go there now and then keep checking back.

Today, I find myself sitting on top of 3 incredible Creative projects that seem to be exploding into the world as I’m writing this: the new play “The Green Room” – the video for the song “Dreamers Like Me” – and the Creation of a NEW MUSICAL… which is the off-spring of the workshopped musical “Possibility Junkie”.
I’m still living this Life with open arms and Love, but ZERO tolerance for people who voted for or continue to support the abomination that is Donald J Trump. As my new song says, “I hope they feel like joining us someday.” But until that day, the rest of us have work to do!!!
ROCK ON!
Thanks so much for hangin’ out.
