I’ll be back with photos! But for now…

THANK YOU!

We did it again.

We had a summer-like day in the first week of October, and man! We took advantage of it. We turned it into another “typically amazing” day in Central Park.

Teresa Reynolds came out to sing with me again. (Her Mom was in town, too.) Frankie jumped in on a couple of songs. Some cute women visiting from Virginia started the dancing this week… and it turned into another party! Another wedding couple shared their first dance with us. We laughed, we sang… we even shed a couple of tears together. But it was all beautiful. Our good friends, the photographers David Hayase and Sean Friedman were both out there in the park with their camera, so I’ll be back with some of the moments they captured. But for now, I just really need to say THANKS!!!

We have TWO MORE more Saturdays in Central Park together this year and then… it’s already that time of year. Maybe you oughta start thinking about calling a few friends and making plans to come to…

YEAH!!! The tickets just went on sale. Do you believe it? This year flew! But this is the first time we’ll get together with the whole band in this insane Trump Era. So it will be a much need night for everybody… including me! Hope you feel like joining us!

OR CALL the box office:  212-501-3330

This gig will be on us before you know it. So, call a few friends and grab the seats you guys want.

OKAY — there’s lots of fun stuff further down the page. But before I get to anything else… let’s share this song!!! Thanks for singing it with me in the park, but please share the link for the video with everyone you know.

I need YOU to share it all across the country and around the world. Share it on Facebook. Share it on Twitter and Instagram. Share it with your neighbors and friends.

Here are some images from other weekends.

I know. I know. For reasonable, sane people this has been a tough year. But we’re in it together and we have work to do. Today I’m gonna share a feel good video from last year’s “Year End Concert” at Merkin Concert Hall here in New York City.

First, the concert video…

Today, I find myself sitting on top of 3 incredible Creative projects that seem to be exploding into the world as I’m writing this: the new play “The Green Room” – the video for the song “Dreamers Like Me” – and the Creation of a NEW MUSICAL… which is the off-spring of the workshopped musical “Possibility Junkie”.

Here are a few images from the recent concert, captured by our photographers friends David Hayase and Sean Friedman.

If you’re in town…

I’LL SEE YOU IN CENTRAL PARK!

Looks like we’re having a summer-like day in October… the kind of day to hang together at “The Hill” in Central Park. So I’ll take off my shoes, put my guitar on my shoulder again and see where the day goes. My best guess is… it will be another typically amazing day. If you’re gonna be here in town I hope I see you out there. I’ll crank up around 1:00 and play until 5:00 or 6:00… or until I fall over.

Here’s a map to show you exactly where!

If you live someplace else or just can’t get to the park, you can hang with us LIVE right here on your computer. But… WE’LL DO IT AT A SPECIAL TIME THIS WEEK. We’ll start the LIVE stream a half hour early at 2:30 (eastern) okay?

Join us if you feel like it. There’s a chat room so you can make requests or just chat with the other people hanging out! All you hafta do is log-in and join us. Go to the Concert Window and set it up right now, okay? (Don’t be spooked by the “credit card” thing. We’ve been doing this for over a year. It’s safe and it really, really does cost you as little or a much as you wanna pay. Whatever you want.)

https://www.concertwindow.com/david-ippolito

Then just click on this banner and then log-in a little before…

2:30 eastern — 1:30 central — 12:30 mountain — 11:30am pacific

I need YOU to share it all across the country and around the world. Share it on Facebook. Share it on Twitter and Instagram. Share it with your neighbors and friends.

Now, here are some images from this year’s season in the park.

Lookin’ pretty good right now…

To Be BACK IN CENTRAL PARK!

Might be a summer-like day in October tomorrow. Might be looking like a perfect day to hang out in the middle of the greatest city in the world. I’ll head out to “the Hill” with my guitar and share another afternoon of music and laughs, stories and thoughts and feelings with a few thousand of my closest friends. I’ll start at the usual time — probably crank up around 1:00 and play until 5:30 or 6:00. (Or until I fall over.)

Great time of year…

CENTRAL PARK on Saturday!

Wait!!! Before anything!!!

Okay!

Well… even though the air temperatures are signalling the end of another season in Central Park, I love this time of year. I do. And we still have a few more weekends to hang together at “The Hill”. I’m hoping we get lucky with the weather this weekend. Right now it’s looking good for Saturday. So make plans to hang with me, okay?

JUST BRING A SWEATER!

It’s the time of the season where I have a feeling it will feel like summer in the Sun, and then feel like autumn in the shade. But it’s looking like a good day to hang out in the middle of the greatest city in the world. Well, Saturday was… “autumnal”. But…

THANK YOU!

We did it again.

Okay… we had to play through a rain shower. It got pretty damned chilly by the end of the day. The Sun only peeked through the clouds for about 2 minutes. But we turned it into another “typically amazing” day.

Okay… this is weird.

But I will TRY to get to “The Hill” today!

What we do in Central Park is always dependent on the weather. I’m watching the radar and the satellite imagery this morning. Keep your fingers crossed and your eyes on this website. Or check my Facebook page and I’ll let you know if it looks like we’ll make it out to Central Park today. IT’S SO WEIRD. The skies look beautiful this morning, but the forecast is calling for a 55% chance of rain at the exact moment I usually crank it up out there.

So… IF some rain showers blow right through the area, maybe we’ll get a slightly later start. IF it looks like they’re wrong, I start at the usual time.

IF IT’S A RAIN OUT —

We will do a “Rain Out Edition” of…

CHECK BACK!!!

IF IT LOOKS GOOD… I’ll head out to “the Hill” with my guitar and share another afternoon of music and laughs, stories and thoughts and feelings with a few thousand of my closest friends. I’LL JUST GET OUT THERE AS SOON AS I CAN and play until 5:30 or 6:00. (Or until I fall over.)

Okay, we were online instead of in the park, but…

THANK YOU!

Missed being with all of you in person. Beautiful day, but the Global Citizens Festival really takes over the park. So a bunch of us hung out online for a special edition of “The Weekly Show” and I had a great time with those of you who showed up.

I’ll be back in the park next Saturday. (Weather-permitting) And we’ll do what we’ve been doing out there for the past 25 years!

Once again, it’s time for that annual announcement. It’s already that time of year. Maybe you oughta start thinking about calling a few friends and making plans to come to…

NOT IN CENTRAL PARK TODAY, SO…

LET’S HANG TOGETHER “LIVE” ONLINE

HEY GUYS! You all know that there’s no place I’d rather be on a beautiful Saturday afternoon than standing barefoot, guitar on my shoulder, hanging with you in Central Park. But the Parks Department didn’t issue the permit for us today. (Good thing, actually. The Global Citizens Festival is on the Great Lawn today and it’s SO loud you can’t have a conversation north of 72nd Street!)

So instead of hanging out in person, we can hang out RIGHT HERE on our computers! TODAY, just click on this banner a little before 4:00 (New York Time) and I’ll stream LIVE from my apartment in Manhattan.

Join us if you feel like it. Just click on this banner and then log-in a little before…

4:00 eastern — 3:00 central — 2:00 mountain — 1:00 pacific

There’s a chat room so you can make requests or just chat with the other people hanging out! All you hafta do is log-in and join us. Go to the Concert Window and set it up right now, okay? (Don’t be spooked by the “credit card” thing. We’ve been doing this for over a year. It’s safe and it really, really does cost you as little or a much as you wanna pay. Whatever you want.)

We’ll chat about all the shit that went down this week. I’ll bring the guitar.

AND THEN NEXT WEEKEND we’ll be back together in Central Park. Here are some moments captured from this summer.

Here are a few shots from another weekend.

If YOU have any photos or video from this past Saturday, please shoot them to me on Facebook, okay?

Thank YOU for showing up. If you’re new around here… WELCOME! If you don’t follow me on Facebook, go there now and then keep checking back.

I know. I know. For reasonable, sane people this has been a tough year so far in this bizarre Trump Reality Show. But we’re in it together and we have work to do. Today I’m gonna share a feel good video from our “Year End Concert” at Merkin Concert Hall here in New York City last December.

Here are a few images from last year’s concert.

I’m still living this Life with open arms and Love, but ZERO tolerance for people who voted for or continue to support the abomination that is Donald J Trump. As my new song says, “I hope they feel like joining us someday.” But until that day, the rest of us have work to do!!!

ROCK ON!
