OKAY!!! The Giants are in the playoffs and that hasn’t happened a lot in recent years. So We’ll get together online one hour earlier this week. There’s SO much to chat about, and I missed singing with you guys over the holidays. We’ll definitely, definitely do the newest song!!! (But we’ll sing lots of other stuff, too.) I’ll put the guitar on my shoulder and stream LIVE from my apartment right to your computer. Cool? If you’ve hung out with us in the Concert Window before, you know what a cool thing it is. Plan on being here, but tell a few friends and ask them to hang with us, too. Tell them they don’t even have to leave their home. We’ll share music and laughs and discussion right here on our computers.  I’ll share a few stories about how the newest song got written and we can all chat about the dreams we have for 2017.

THE LUCKIEST MAN ALIVE.

Y’know? I hope we all feel that way about our lives. But man, I gotta say… when I’m really paying attention I’m totally amazed at this ride. Think about it.

For the past 25 years I have made a living and a Life as an artist. Okay it’s been almost completely under-the-radar, but that almost makes it more fascinating to me. I’m not a famous artist — just one who writes songs and sings them for people… hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people. I’m just a man who writes plays and experiences amazing actors bringing them to Life. I live a life in which one day rarely resembles the day before… because new ideas, new dreams and new possibilities are born almost every day.

Okay, I just played a nearly sold-out Merkin Concert Hall in December and shared the stage with the usual incredibly beautiful and gifted fellow-artists. We laughed as much as we sang. A brand new songbook with 28 of my original songs was released. And I opened the show with a song I ad written a few days before in reaction to the recent election.

But today, I find myself sitting on top of 3 incredible Creative projects that seem to be exploding into the world as I’m writing this: the new play “The Green Room” – the video for the song “Dreamers Like Me” – and the Creation of a NEW MUSICAL… which is the off-spring of the workshopped musical “Possibility Junkie”.

And then, I get to do concerts at places like Symphony Space and Merkin Concert Hall in the off-season and share stages with the finest artists and the best people I know. REMEMBER THIS!?

Okay, and now you’ll see why I’m excited about my newest song. I have a feeling it might actually make it’s way into the score of the new musical. These things are so inter-connected lately. It’s amazing.

I’m still living this Life with open arms and Love, but ZERO tolerance for people who voted for or continue to support the abomination that is Donald J Trump. As the song says, “I hope they feel like joining us someday.” but until that day, the rest of us have work to do!!!

ROCK ON!

STUCK IN A PROCESS…

Years ago I realized something needed to change about my personal reality. I started realizing that my attitude was that of a man who loves the big idea, and the big possibility, and the big event… but I spent way too much energy feeling like I was “stuck in a process”. Once I started enjoying thee ride, enjoying the journey, enjoying the “process”… Life became so much more fascinating, more fun, and more fulfilling.

Of course, it’s easy for me to slip back a bit from time to time.

I’m just coming out of another one of those little slides, and I’m getting really excited about being in the middle of 4 completely separate Creative projects. I hope I’ll be telling you guys more about several of them in the coming weeks. In the meantime…

It began for me with excitement about my newest script “The Green Room”. It finds me jazzed to be re-working the musical that many of you saw a couple of years ago… “Possibility Junkie”. In quiet moments I keep going back to creating my newest play… which hasn’t even a working title yet.

But perhaps the thing that has me feeling the most passionate at the moment I’m writing this is Creating the video for my newest song…

So I think you also get the idea…

Hope you had a fun, or Peaceful New Year’s Eve. (And if you did absolutely nothing… I’ve done that and enjoyed that several times, too.) And so we begin another lap around the Sun. (We’re calling this one 2,017. Why? No one is really completely sure.) But there you go.
