    OBI (Oak Beach Inn)
Music and Lyrics by David Ippolito

It's been a long time, but I still remember
The place we would party from May to September,
Down Ocean Parkway. Sittin' at the edge of the shore.
Instead of lookin' straight down the barrel at monday,
We'd hit it after hittin' the beach every Sunday.
By three in the afternoon we were lookin' for more.

And by four we were headed to that seaside shack.
Every sunny, Sunday that place would pack.
By five we'd come alive and the party would commence to begin.
By six Little Buster was kickin' the blues,
While the whole dance floor was kickin' off there shoes.
We were young, having fun, ridin' shotgun then jumpin' in...
Down at the Oak Beach Inn.

Pretty beach babies with wind-blown hair
And city women dressin' to kill everywhere.
It was bathing suits, party dresses, t-shirts and ice cold beer
Finally dance with the girl you tried to meet all day.
The little one who's smile took your breath away.
And then ask her if she'd wanna watch the sunset from out on the pier.

Where motorboat jockeys pullin' up to the dock.
Are all watchin' the moon instead of watchin' a clock
Ask her for her number 'cause you'd really like to see her again.
And inside, Little Buster's still blarin' the blues
And now, the whole dance floor isn't wearin' no shoes
Caught up in the motion. It's an ocean of sun-tanned skin...
Down at The Oak Beach Inn

A lot of hot summer's have come and gone.
I wondered if the party was still goin' on.
Got my girl, hopped into my car and headed down to the coast.
But, the music wasn't playin' like in days gone by.
The only sound we heard was a seagull cryin'.
It was boarded up and starin' back at us like a big old ghost.

But, we remembered headin' to that seaside shack
How every sunny, Sunday that place would pack.
By five we'd come alive and the party would commence to begin
We could almost hear Buster still blarin' the blues.
While the whole dance floor wasn't wearin' no shoes
It was fun, feelin' young, standing in the sun remembering when...
We were down at The Oak Beach Inn
