Welcome to the website.

And THANKS to every single one of you who hung out with me last weekend. It really was a remarkable day and an amazing way to kick off another year together in Central Park.

.

Y'know how I'm always saying that it's important for me to pay attention? By that I also mean to pay attention to the little things. Y'know, The Universe puts up big sign posts that I can miss if I'm not paying attention... if I'm not really present in the moment. Of course, when I see the signs post it's up to me to take that particular direction or not. But the signs are always, always there. Still sometimes the fun is in noticing, not the BIG signs, but the little messages in the background.

Like...

Last Saturday, we all got to witness the incredible Life affirming and healing power of music in my good friend Sid. We also got to share an incredibly special and spontaneous "first dance" with a young couple who had been married for about 3 or 4 minutes. It was truly their first dance together as husband and wife... and it turned into a Uniquely New York Moment as a few hundred New Yorkers and people from all around the world sang "Can't Help Falling in Love" to these two as they danced in each others arms.

.

.

But what is my favorite part of this captured moment?

Not the beautiful look on her pretty face. Not this arms wrapped around her. Not the lush, green beauty of Central Park, or even the big-ass smile on my face! That stuff is all wonderful and real...

.

.

.

.

But I love this!!!

.

.

DAMN! A couple who just happened to be there for this moment in time. Whoever she is, she's shooting the moment on video on her little camera phone!!! And she doesn't even stop shooting I'm guessing. And he doesn't care. He's got to take her in his arms and kiss her. See? It's contagious! It spreads.

Love is not only powerful, but it's contagious. It spreads. Romance can't be confined. It can't be dictated or selected, but it also can't be confined. Not in this town. Not when there are open and loving hearts around.

Nice to be right in the middle of that, hah?

.

.

.

.

And it's even more wonderful when I... really pay attention.

.

Listen... this is the project I was talkin' about in Central Park last Saturday. It's gonna happen in September. Keep checking back and I'll let you know how YOU can be a real part of it. Cool?

.

If you haven't seen this before, here's a Broadway legend and his wife to describe the concept a little. (These two people have truly artistic souls and they "get it".) This man isn't all talk and numbers. Tony Walton has done it on Broadway and has the Tony Awards to prove it. He's done it on film and has an Oscar to show for it. There are Emmy Awards sitting on his shelf, too. So this guy is the real thing.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
