Welcome to the website.

.

I often ask questions here, and I love getting replies from all across the country and different parts of the world. Today's question is pretty straightforward and I will supply you guys with my own answer, which I think is also pretty straightforward.

But first... got a couple of things comin' up that I think you're gonna wanna be a part of if you plan to be in or around New York City in the month of March.

The first thing is the very first concert of 2012. It's a whole lot different than the big year end gig we just had in December, because an awful lot of you have been asking me to do a solo gig in a smaller and more intimate venue. So that's what I'm gonna do. Of course, I asked at least one special guest to share the stage with me for a few songs. It's gonna be a special night... I can feel it already.

Like I said, though, it's in a smaller venue. So, maybe you wanna grab tickets today or this weekend.

You can call the box office any day this week.

Or you can reserve tickets online right now.

OKAY! TODAY'S QUESTION

It's about "Dickishness"

.

Before I get to the rest of the update... I'm gonna go ahead and ask today's question. Just when you think you've seen it all, just when you think things can't get any more absurd in this country, just when you think American politics couldn't get any more embarrassing...

.

Q: Just how much pompous, self-deluded, "DICK-ISH-NESS" can you fit on one stage at one time?

OKAY NEXT!!!

(THIS IS A CHANGE!!! THE DATE FOR THE FIRST PILOT HAS BEEN MOVED!!!)

It's all set. We'll be shooting the first 2 pilots for the new internet web-series "THERE" on Tuesday, March 13 and Wednesday March 14.

.

.

"THERE" is gonna be a weekly series... a LIVE, interactive show that anyone in the world can watch anywhere in the country or anywhere in the world. The focus will be on musicians, actors and comedians who are living the life of an artist here in NYC -- y'know, like the song says, "If you can make it THERE..."

The cool thing about it being LIVE is that you'll be able to watch the show sitting in front of your computer and text the show, or send email message or tweet in real time. It'll be like you're a part of the studio audience wherever you are. THERE will have it;s own website, where you can check out where all the artists are performing, as well as all kinds of really cool tips and fun shit about visiting New York, making the move here, stuff like that. We'll have a page where you can send video of your band or music or stand-up set for people to see, and even ways to decided who might get a free trip to town to appear on the show live and in person. It's being produced and directed by my pal, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Dean Love.

I wanna try to get a few more moments from the December concert edited down to be ready for you guys to watch on Youtube and here at the site. Maybe this week I can work on the audio tracks and we'll have 'em here at the site. Some really fun shit. So keep checking back.

Here are a few we've already completed.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
