Once again -- Got some really fun concert video further down the page. (If you're new here and wonder what it is I do over the winter, check out the video!)
Wanna start off today with a little "good bye" to Etta James. If you have just a few minutes to listen to a kick-ass song by a woman who sang songs from the soles of here feet out the top of her head. She was the real thing. Damn! She was a good one.
Most people know here for her signature song "At Last". But this is one of my 3 favorite songs she recorded. Always makes me smile. Pop in some headphones, crank up the speakers and let it rip. Have fun.
It's on her album "The Right Time". Go buy it. The whole album is great! Maybe I'll give you guys one more example of this woman's soul to hear tomorrow.
Woke up jazzed this morning.
I sit back and look at this world with amazement and wonder most days, but some days more than others. The idea of a self-serving windbag like Newt Gingrich winning anything in any state in this country among any demographic of people makes my jaw drop open. But it gives me a sense of purpose and keeps my sense of humor firing.

ONE MORE WIN AND THE GIANTS ARE IN THE SUPER BOWL.
Very cool. You'll find me in front of a TV at 6:30 today. Hope The Giants play with the same kind of intensity that they played with last week, and I hope the officials have a better game than they had last week.
Wanna say "Hi" to all of you checking in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. For newcomers, here's a little Photo Gallery from this past Summer. Very cool. Maybe you're in there!
The new webseries being produced by my pal, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Dean Love is about to become a reality. It' gonna be a kind of musical, variety, comedy, edgy, irreverend, fun, interactive gig about artists who are living their lives and making art in New York City. Y'know? The place that is referred to in the song about New York made famous by Sinatra... in the line that goes, "If I can, make it...
He's in the process right now of booking a theater on the Upper West side of Manhattan to shoot 2 pilot episodes. There will be a studio audience as we go LIVE to tape for the pilots, and admission will be FREE. Keep checking back and I'll get you the details about how YOU can be in the audience for this new show. It's gonna be a blast.

THESE ARE SOME MOMENTS FROM THE CONCERT LAST DECEMBER
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
