So many possibilities. So much good stuff. So many good people in my circle.

Things are very exciting starting off this lap around the Sun. And honestly, gotta tell you... I'm kinda hoping for a little snow!

First of all, I think Central Park in the snow is one of the most beautiful and romantic locations on the entire planet. BUT... George Wurzbach, Dean Love and I all think that my song "In My Arms This Christmas" would make an incredible music video for a beautiful and wonderful artist like Miss Teresa Reynolds. So, keep your fingers crossed that we get at least one good snowfall, and we'll get that done.

In the meantime, it's gonna be in the 50s this week! Still, we're a long way from those Springtime and Summer afternoons by the Lake.

.

.

So we'll be getting together for a very special, very different kind of "indoor" concert than we usually do around this time of year. Tell you about that in a minute.

But first, I also hafta say, I had a pretty cool weekend. I told you a bit about it in yesterday's update. But Sunday evening I was asked to hang at a little birthday celebration for a colleague and friend of mine.... Christine Lavin. It was at the home of Julie Gold, another fine, fine songwriter, and it was filled with so many really cool people. My pal Jim Caruso from Cast Party was there. Budd Mishkin (From NY1) and his beautiful wife sang a couple of songs. Cabaret singer Andrea Marcovicci was there, as well as Jon Platt from WFUV, actress Barbara Barrie, singer/comedienne Christine Pedi... so many other cool and really talented people. But everyone was there because we all think the world of Chris, who really is one-of-a-kind. One mo' time...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS!

OKAY THE NEXT GIG!

I'm gonna stop by the box office later this week to see how the tickets sales are going. So, I'll let you guys know. I know we're still about 8 weeks out from the concert, but as opposed to the December concert which was in a 500-seat venue, this next gig is gonna be at The Leonard Nimoy Thalia on Broadway here in New York, which only seats about 150.

Why such a small venue?

There's a good reason for that. This gig is gonna be a bit different than anything I've done in a in a long while. This is gonna be a completely solo, acoustic night of songs and stories. I'm gonna hang with you guys for an intimate theater and we'll just see where it goes. I think I'll play a whole bunch of songs I haven't played in a long time, and a few brand new songs nobody's ever heard before.

I hung out a little bit with my buddy Dean this week and asked if he could get a few more moments from the December concert edited down to be ready for you guys to watch on Youtube and here at the site. As soon as he gets some of those clips to me, I can work on the audio tracks and we'll have 'em here at the site. Some really fun shit. So keep checking back.

Here are a few we've already completed.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
