Welcome to the website.

Had a very cool day on Sunday, shooting a music video for a song I wrote for Teresa Reynolds to sing called "In My Arms this Christmas". We needed to wait for some snow in the park and we got it this weekend. How cool is it that my pal, Dean Love, just happens to be an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker who volunteered to do this thing? We'll roll it out for the next holiday season at the end of the year.

A bit closer on the calendar is the next chance we all get to hang together for a night of music and laughs. That'll be on Saturday night, March 3.... a little more than a month away. Can't wait. It's gonna be a whole lot different than the last big concert we did at Merkin Concert Hall. I'm thinkin' this'll probably feel more like what I like to call "the sweet part of the afternoon" when we're hangin' out in Central Park in the Summer. Y'know? That part of the day when we really get into the meaning of some of the songs and the stories.

.

HEY LISTEN!

If you wanna grab tickets for that Saturday night gig, they are on sale already. If you call the box office or stop by The Leonard Nimoy Thalia on Broadway @ 95th Street you can reserve seats this week. Or you can get them online.

I wanted this gig to be a whole lot more intimate than the big YEAR END concert. There are only 150 seats in The Thalia so if you're thinkin' about calling a few friends and makin' a fun night of it, you might wanna do that before the gig gets closer.

Gonna be cool.

And, not for nuthin'... as a Yankees fan I wanna say... 28 days to pitchers and catchers. And then it's until opening day.

But as a Giants fan I wanna say...

That was a great, great game yesterday... played by both The Giants and The 49ers. Both teams played like they deserved to go to the Super Bowl. Seriously, a really well played game and the 49ers have no reason to hang their heads.

.

Time to put grass stains all over Tom Brady's ass again in Super Bowl.

THE GIANTS ARE GOIN' TO THE SUPER BOWL... again.

Y'know... I mentioned Dean Love at the top of this update. He's producing a webseries which will be a kind of edgy, hip, variety show, talk show kinda thing called...

...and he's asked me to host it. The studio audience will get to watch the shoot for FREE. So I'll let you know when the dates for all of that are set. (It's lookin' like mid-March.) Then we'll figure out a way that YOU can reserve a spot in the studio audience. It's gonna be fun.

.

there are always a handful of newcomers checking in for various reasons here in NYC or from across the country and different parts of the world... whether it's because of YouTube, or Facebook, or one of the projects we're workin' on... or because they've spent an afternoon with us out in Central Park when the weather is warm.

For newcomers, here's a little Photo Gallery from this past Summer. Very cool. Maybe you're in there!

OUR NEXT NIGHT TOGETHER!

.

I'm gonna stop by the box office later this week to see how the tickets sales are going. So, I'll let you guys know. I know we're still about 6 weeks out from the concert, but as opposed to the December concert which was in a 500-seat venue, this next gig is gonna be at The Leonard Nimoy Thalia on Broadway here in New York, which only seats about 150.

Why such a small venue?

There's a good reason for that. This gig is gonna be a bit different than anything I've done in a in a long while. This is gonna be a completely solo, acoustic night of songs and stories. I'm gonna hang with you guys for an intimate theater and we'll just see where it goes. I think I'll play a whole bunch of songs I haven't played in a long time, and a few brand new songs nobody's ever heard before.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
