But THIS is kinda cool! TOMORROW I will make an announcement about the tickets for our first concert of 2012.
What're you thinkin'? You in the mood? I'm thinkin' that by March 3 we're all gonna be just a tiny bit tired of winter. So 8 weeks from now, I'm gonna head over to The Leonard Nimoy Thalia on Broadway with my guitar and nothin' else. As much as I love playing with the band, I've gotten enough email and personal messages from people asking for a night with just one guitar. So that's what we'll do.

But as far as sharing a stage with George and Teresa and Nelson, Ryan, Chris and Dave... I've got some other things cookin'. This is gonna be a fun year with The CSD Band. Here are some moments from the last time we got together on the stage at Merkin Concert Hall in The Kaufman Center.
Like I said, I'll make an announcement about the tickets for the March 3 concert this week! Even in a 2 1/2 hour concert I never get to all the songs I know you guys wanna hear -- a lot of the songs from a few years back... a lot of songs from back when I first started being "That Guitar Man from Central Park". And I'm still writing. I have another handful of brand new songs that you've never heard before. So, I'm gonna do a more intimate night of music and storytelling in a smaller theater, so I can share a whole bunch of that stuff with you. It'll basically just be me, probably sitting on a milk crate, with a guitar. And of course... you.
I'm already looking forward to it.

We've got sooooo many really cool ideas and plans for 2012. Like this one possibility as explained by Broadway legend Tony Walton and his wife.

And then there's the new webseries being produced by my pal, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Dean Love.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
