SOME DAYS YOU LOOK LIKE SHIT.
SOME DAY'S YOU FEEL LIKE SHIT.
THAT'S LIFE. GET OVER IT.
If you were at the concert a couple of weeks ago you know that I was wrestling all night with some evil elf stuck in my throat all night. Well, the weirdest thing. He was back yesterday. Man! I felt like I was shot at and missed - shit at and hit all over. Seriously. I'm one of those men who never, ever, ever gets sick. But this little annoying head and chest thing just didn't seem to go away completely... and it reared up again yesterday.
All cool. Took it really easy. Mega-doses of vitamin C. Steam. A good nap around midday. I feel a whole lot better today, but I missed the SGA Songwriter's Circle I wanted to catch last night because my pal Karlus Trapp was gonna sit in. I'll hafta catch him again really soon.
But I stayed in and worked on some audio and video. And it's back to work today!!!
So... on with the update! We've got another one!!!
.
ANOTHER NEW MUSIC VIDEO HERE TODAY!
It's from the concert here in New York City on December 10th. But this is a video with which I really need your help. I'd love it if this thing made it's way around the entire planet like the "Facebook" song did a couple of years ago! (I know. I know this one jumped ahead of another song that people were requesting. But I'm kinda saving that one for New Year's Eve.)
After last year's concert we posted my song "Stupid Country" and I asked for your thoughts and feelings. Then I posted a representative sample of your comments on the site. I wanna do the same with this song. You can send me your honest, unedited comments about this song and we'll post a bunch of them for others to read.
So, let's get a head start on sending this video around the world in 2012, okay?

Now... here's the link you can copy and email to all of your friends, family, acquaintances and people you don't particularly care for.
If you have an email list, send it out. If you're sending out a "New Year" message, please include this link as a bonus! And let me know how you feel about the song... both it's content and the vibe it creates. Tell me what you "think" and and the way it makes you "feel".
For newcomers, here's a little Photo Gallery from this past Summer. Very cool. Maybe you're in there!
.
Maybe it is time to bring all of this to a much larger audience. Maybe to a Broadway stage. Maybe to a TV screen. Maybe through an internet webseries. We'll see. All it takes is the right person to really get behind this stuff. Here's what Broadway legend Tony Walton and his wife have to say about this idea.

And then there's the new webseries being produced by my pal, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Dean Love.
Oh by the way... are you gonna be in NYC the first week of March?
I love very few things more than sharing the stage with the phenomenal artists I get to work with. But I've also been receiving a TON of email over the past few months requesting a smaller, solo, acoustic night... just me and the guitar, just a handful of stories and a roomful of you guys. So that's what I'm doin' next.
SATURDAY NIGHT, MARCH 3
The Leonard Nimoy Thalia
It's a much smaller, much more intimate venue than The Kaufman Center, so I'll let you now the minute tickets go on sale.

And y'know? I always say that I am a "fiercely independent" artist. By that I mean, I truly listen to my own inspirations, I follow my own intuitions, speak my own Truth and "Trust the Force" as much as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
But I don't do what I do alone. I depend on the good, good people in my artists' circle and my circle of friends and family in so many ways. That dependency also keeps me in a place of nearly constant gratitude and wonder.
So, thanks guys!

Here are a couple of different fun galleries to check out.

HAVE FUN TODAY!!!!!!(And be cool to each other, okay?)

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
