LOTS OF VIDEO FOR YOU HERE TODAY! (Further down the page.)
Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend, no matter what you were doing. If you were with friends and family, hope you had a warm and wonderful time. If you were hangin' out alone, hope you really enjoyed your freedom and relaxation. If you were having Chinese food and catching a movie... hope you saw something great!
Me?
Well, here at the website I'm just winding down the year... closing out another lap around the Sun. But it was another amazing trip. I'm gonna start out the week by posting the brand new concert videos we've done so far. Maybe tomorrow or the next day I'll post the song from the "Year End" concert that we used to wrap up 2011. Then, I'm gonna try to get a little bit of a running start at 2012.
But first... THANKS AGAIN FOR A GREAT "OUTDOOR SEASON".
.
For newcomers, here's a little Photo Gallery from this past Summer. Very cool. Maybe you're in there!
.
And THANKS AGAIN from me and everyone who shared the stage with me for another f*cking wonderful experience at "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" this month.
.
Hope I see you you all at the solo concert on March 3 at The Thalia on Broadway.

Before I tell you about some possibilities for 2012, here's the concert video so far!!!

Then check back all week next week. I'll be posting "The Occupy Wall Street Rag"... and of course, the latest version, the version we used to re-cap the passing year in America... the newest version of "Tom Cruise Scares Me".
I went ahead and signed the contract for the next gig. l know it seems like a long way off, but mark Saturday night, March 3rd on your brand new 2012 calendars! If you were at the gig a week ago, you got to hear a whole bunch of new songs with the entire band. But y'know? Even in a 2 1/2 hour concert I never get to all the songs I know you guys wanna hear. A lot of the songs from a few years back... a lot of songs from back when I first started being "That Guitar Man from Central Park". And I'm still writing. I have another handful of brand new songs that you've never heard before. So, I'm gonna do a more intimate night of music and storytelling in a smaller theater, so I can share a whole bunch of that stuff with you. It'll basically just be me, probably sitting on a milk crate, with a guitar. And of course... you.
I'm already looking forward to it.
.
We've got sooooo many really cool ideas and plans for 2012. Like this possibility as explained by Broadway legend Tony Walton and his wife.

And then there's the new webseries being produced by my pal, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Dean Love.

THE CONCERT
Okay, we broadcast the concert LIVE on Saturday night and people watched it along with us all across the country and as far away as France, The UK, Spain, Brazil... even Iran.
You can plug in some headphones and sit back for a few hours and watch nearly the entire night.

And y'know? I always say that I am a "fiercely independent" artist. By that I mean, I truly listen to my own inspirations, I follow my own intuitions, speak my own Truth and "Trust the Force" as much as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
But I don't do what I do alone. I depend on the good, good people in my artists' circle and my circle of friends and family in so many ways. That dependency also keeps me in a place of nearly constant gratitude and wonder.
Here's a song that I did for the very first time with the band at the gig on Saturday. And once again, I wanna ask you guys to keep this video moving around the planet. (It is intended to help counter the distorted and often purposely skewed image of the "Occupy Wall Street" movement by much of the "news" media. You can help by turning all your friends onto this video.)
THE NEWEST SONG AND VIDEO!

Send this video to everyone you know. Send it to people you don't know! Post it to your Facebook pages. Email it to Congress. Send it everywhere!
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
