Yesterday I tried to publish the newest concert video and dedicate it to "The Occupy Movement" across the country and around the world. I even made the title going in... "Dedicated to: The Occupy Movement".
Now, I wasn't feeling really well yesterday. But I thought I'd make the best use of the day by getting this concert video out to the world. The problem was, after spending the day working on the audio and uploading the video to YouTube, the very first comment that came in read:
What does 'dedicacted" mean?
.
AAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
So I pulled it and went back in a fixed my typo! Damn! Made me laugh. Better it happened right away, though. So, okay... it took a few more hours, but here's the video. Now you guys can really help me out by forwarding this one all over the place. Share it on your Facebook pages. Share it to your email contacts. Tweet the damned thing!
Have fun!

And be sure to get back to me if I misspelled anything else. (Good thing I'm putting this thing up semi-anonymously. I might have misspelled my own name yesterday!)
ACTUALLY -- I really would like to hear your comments. You can post them right on the YouTube page for everyone to see. Here:
Or you can email me and I will post a representative sample of your thoughts and feelings here on the site next week. I wanna know what you "think" about this song, but I also wanna know how it makes you "feel".
I'll be back tomorrow with another really fun video, but one that I didn't make. One of the really cool things about being "That Guitar Man from Central Park" is actually being considered a genuine part of this town that I love so much. Well another artist in this town who has done a series of "New Year" songs asked me to play an acoustic guitar riff in this year's offering for 2012... and she asked me to appear in the music video. I saw the finished product last night. It's really fun. You're gonna feel like dancing.
I'll post it here tomorrow for you guys to share around the world as well.
For newcomers, here's a little Photo Gallery from this past Summer. Very cool. Maybe you're in there!
.
And THANKS AGAIN from me and everyone who shared the stage with me for another f*cking wonderful experience at "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" this month.
Here's the concert video so far!!!

Of course, the latest version of the song "Tom Cruise Scares Me" is what we used to re-cap the passing year in America... so i'll be posting that here to put a cap ion 2011 and kick off the new lap around the sun in 2012.
I went ahead and signed the contract for the next gig. l know it seems like a long way off, but mark Saturday night, March 3rd on your brand new 2012 calendars! If you were at the gig a week ago, you got to hear a whole bunch of new songs with the entire band. But y'know? Even in a 2 1/2 hour concert I never get to all the songs I know you guys wanna hear. A lot of the songs from a few years back... a lot of songs from back when I first started being "That Guitar Man from Central Park". And I'm still writing. I have another handful of brand new songs that you've never heard before. So, I'm gonna do a more intimate night of music and storytelling in a smaller theater, so I can share a whole bunch of that stuff with you. It'll basically just be me, probably sitting on a milk crate, with a guitar. And of course... you.
I'm already looking forward to it.

We've got sooooo many really cool ideas and plans for 2012. Like this possibility as explained by Broadway legend Tony Walton and his wife.

And then there's the new webseries being produced by my pal, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Dean Love.
And y'know? I always say that I am a "fiercely independent" artist. By that I mean, I truly listen to my own inspirations, I follow my own intuitions, speak my own Truth and "Trust the Force" as much as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
But I don't do what I do alone. I depend on the good, good people in my artists' circle and my circle of friends and family in so many ways. That dependency also keeps me in a place of nearly constant gratitude and wonder.
Here's a song that I did for the very first time with the band at the gig on Saturday. And once again, I wanna ask you guys to keep this video moving around the planet. (It is intended to help counter the distorted and often purposely skewed image of the "Occupy Wall Street" movement by much of the "news" media. You can help by turning all your friends onto this video.)
THE NEWEST SONG AND VIDEO!

Send this video to everyone you know. Send it to people you don't know! Post it to your Facebook pages. Email it to Congress. Send it everywhere!
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
