Here in New York City, we are just about one week away from...
"THE SOMETHING'TH ANNUAL YEAR END CONCERT"
.
SATURDAY NIGHT, DECEMBER 10TH ~ 7:30
Merkin Concert Hall in The Kaufman Center on West 67th Street
Now everybody's got their own reasons for going to this thing every year. For most people, I guess it's about the music. For some people, it's probably for the laughs and the good, good feeling we always leave with. I suppose after all these years it's become a tradition for a lot of people.
.
BUT THIS GUY HAS HIS OWN REASONS FOR GOING TO THE CONCERT

All cool.
Whatever gets you in the door! Then the rest is easy.
Hey guys... the box office is open today. And you can get tickets online any time. But here's just a quick heads-up. The box office at Merkin Concert Hall in The Kaufman Center is closed on Saturday. (It's, y'know... one of those religion or "god" things I guess.)
So today might be a good day to call and grab tickets.
.
There are still a whole bunch of really good seats left. (Well, in all honesty, there isn't a bad seat in that venue. It's designed for orchestral stuff so the stage is very wide and the balcony is right on top of it. It kinda starts in Row H of the orchestra. For a 500-seat venue, it's a very intimate house.)
If you wanna call a few friends and make a night of it, today would be a good day to do it. the number to call directly is:
212-501-3330
Or if you'd rather get them online today or tomorrow, you can just click on this banner and get them through The Kaufman Center website!
.
I honestly can't wait. It's gonna be a good one this year. We've got some fun stuff planned, and as always... I'll be makin' it up as I go along.
It's also cool that you can look around you in the audience and see so many of the same faces you see all summer. (In fact, if you had a little "summer crush", he or she might be there!)
Me and the kids are gonna do a bunch of the new songs from this year. AND I wanna try to play as many of your favorites as I can get into one night. I'm gonna be joined on stage by George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana, and Teresa Reynolds. Not only are they also good at what they do, they are among the sweetest people I know. So I always have so much fun putting these gigs together. We really do laugh as much as we sing at these things.

I have a couple of really fun ideas about this gig. One of them has to do with the BIG cover song we do every year. I think you guys are gonna love this. I think we're gonna create a good musical memory.
NOW -- here's a song I'm gonna debut with the bad at the gig on December 10th. And once again, I wanna ask you guys to keep this video moving around the planet. (It is intended to help counter the distorted and often purposely skewed image of the "Occupy Wall Street" movement by much of the "news" media. You can help by turning all your friends onto this video.)
THE NEWEST SONG AND VIDEO!

Y'know? This was year #20 that I've been known as "That Guitar Man from Central Park". As the result of sharing all those typically amazing afternoons of music an laughs in the middle of the greatest city in the world, I've become aware that there are always a lot of you checking in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. Here's a Photo Gallery from this season. Maybe you're in there! (It's still growing!)
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
