Welcome to the website.

The concert is less than 2 weeks away!!!! (More about that and how you can still get tickets further down the page!)

.

But today I wanna have some fun with
THIS YEAR'S COVER SONG!

Y'know?

I always say this about the "Year End Concert":

"It's gonna be a blast!" -- OR -- "We always have a blast st these things!"

.

And this year is gonna be no exception. And every year we do ONE big "Cover Song". I was just thinkin'. It might be kinda funny to look at a blast from the past. This clip is probably from 11 or 12 years ago. I have no idea. If you look, you'll notice that the rock solid bass was being played by Nelson Montana even back then. The quality of the converted video is kinda poor. I mean, technology has come a long way since back then. But it was a fun night and a fun memory. We do the one, big "Cover Song" every year. Back then we picked a classic from The Beatles.

That's basically the "Where's the Voice" band. Nelson... with Jeff Van Nostrand, Mike Braun, Joyce Stovall, Gloria Carpenter and my pal, Roger "Dodger" Bartlett on lead guitar.

.

Okay, big fast-forward... this was our "cover song" from last year's concert. (We always try to pick something EVERYBODY can get into!)

And the "Cover Song" for this year's concert is gonna be...

.

.

.

.

Nope.

You gotta grab tickets and show up to find out what it's gonna be at this year's concert... one week from this Saturday night. But I promise this is gonna be fun. I mean, I left it to George Wurzbach to pick the song this year, and he picked a good one!

HEY! As always, thanks for another typically amazing year. 20 years... I've been "That Guitar Man from Central Park". An entire generation, for cryin' out loud. Very cool. As an independent artist, I might be one of the luckiest sons-a-bitches on the planet. And now we get to move that feeling indoors for that yearly tradition. But the "outdoor" season in 2011 was amazing. Here's a Photo Gallery from this season. Maybe you're in there! (It's still growing!)

OKAY -- YOU MIGHT WANNA GO AHEAD AND GET TICKETS TODAY. Yes, the box office is open today (Sunday) if you wanna call.

212-501-3330

I just think it's that an awful lot of you have been to these concerts before and know how much we laugh and how good it feels every year. I honestly can't wait. It's gonna be a god one this year. We've got some fun stuff planned, and as always... I'll be makin' it up as I go along.

It's also cool that you can look around you in the audience and see so many of the same faces you see all summer. (In fact, if you had a little "summer crush", he or she might be there!)

Me and the kids are gonna do a bunch of the new songs from this year. AND I wanna try to play as many of your favorites as I can get into one night. I'm gonna be joined on stage by George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana, and Teresa Reynolds. Not only are they also good at what they do, they are among the sweetest people I know. So I always have so much fun putting these gigs together. We really do laugh as much as we sing at these things.

TICKETS

There isn't a bad seat in Merkin Concert Hall. I'm serious, the guys in the balcony have as much fun as the people in the orchestra. It's always a really fun crowd up there. And this beautiful venue is really designed for orchestral stuff, so it's really very intimate. The balcony is very close to the stage... like, the first row of the balcony is at Row H in the orchestra.

So go ahead an order tickets online or wait until the box office is open to speak directly to either Biz or Shayla or Michael.

Call: 212-501-3330

Or get 'em online right now!

I have a couple of really fun ideas about this gig. One of them has to do with the BIG cover song we do every year. I think you guys are gonna love this. I think we're gonna create a good musical memory.

.

NOW -- here's a song I'm gonna debut with the bad at the gig on December 10th. And once again, I wanna ask you guys to keep this video moving around the planet. (It is intended to help counter the distorted and often purposely skewed image of the "Occupy Wall Street" movement by much of the "news" media. You can help by turning all your friends onto this video.)

THE NEWEST SONG AND VIDEO!

Send this video to everyone you know. Send it to people you don't know! Post it to your Facebook pages. Email it to Congress. Send it everywhere!

Y'know? This was year #20 that I've been known as "That Guitar Man from Central Park". As the result of sharing all those typically amazing afternoons of music an laughs in the middle of the greatest city in the world, I've become aware that there are always a lot of you checking in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
