What a year this has been! From Herman Cain to Anthony Wiener... from the legalization of gay-marriage in New York to Snookie. Thanks for an amazing "outdoor" season in Central Park this year. Time to move it indoors!

THE GIG THIS SATURDAY~
We're gonna start to say goodbye to 2011 this Saturday night. I have some news for everyone who IS gonna be with us at Merkin Concert Hall... and some news for all of you in different parts of the country and different parts of the world who are NOT gonna be hangin' out with us on Saturday night.
A few things.
Okay -- the first thing is for those here in NYC. If you have a bunch of Christmas shopping left to do, or you just need to pick up some of those little $20 gifts for people you know... I'm gonna have a brand new CD with a collection of new songs from this past year that haven't appeared on any other albums! Y'know? Songs like... "There Will Always Be People" and "Hey American". And if you buy one of those this year, we're giving you a FREE DVD of the latest effort, "The Occupy Wall Street Rag".
Just make sure you bring a little extra cash with you to the gig. The CDs and DVDs will be on sale in the lobby, but we're still a pretty grassroots group of independent artists. So we won't be set up for credit cards and stuff.
Cool? (And these things are sooooooo easy to gift wrap!!!)
. Songs like -- "With Anyone But You", "The Last Protest Song", There Will Always Be People",
"You Might Be Her", "In My Arms this Christmas", "With Me", "A different Cowboys Lament"
... and a bunch more.
.
OKAY! The next thing is -- if you can't be with us at The Kaufman Center on West 67th Street this Saturday, you can come right here to this website at showtime and watch the whole thing being streamed LIVE. All you hafta do is plug in some headphones, click on the image and sit back and hang with us no matter where in the world you are. One really cool thing about that for all of us who will be there, is that we'll be able to share the night with our friends and family all around the world. Very cool!
NOW -- here's a song I'm gonna debut with the bad at the gig on December 10th. And once again, I wanna ask you guys to keep this video moving around the planet. (It is intended to help counter the distorted and often purposely skewed image of the "Occupy Wall Street" movement by much of the "news" media. You can help by turning all your friends onto this video.)
THE NEWEST SONG AND VIDEO!
.
Send this video to everyone you know. Send it to people you don't know! Post it to your Facebook pages. Email it to Congress. Send it everywhere!
Y'know? This was year #20 that I've been known as "That Guitar Man from Central Park". As the result of sharing all those typically amazing afternoons of music an laughs in the middle of the greatest city in the world, I've become aware that there are always a lot of you checking in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. For newcomers, here's a little Photo Gallery from this past Summer. Very cool. Maybe you're in there! (It's still growing!)
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
