Gonna start out today like I always do, welcoming all the newcomers and all of you checkin' in from across the country and different parts of the world. Here in NYC we had another typically amazing Summer season of music and laughs out in Central Park. I can never say "Thanks" enough.

Reason, Purpose, The OWS Movement... and You!

Before we get to any of the fun stuff today, I'm compelled to
take care of a little important business.

Now, if you've been coming around for any length of time, you KNOW how much fun we have around here. I'm an artist who tries to write songs that make us smile, make us think, help us to laugh, feel we're not alone... and so I tend to write the next song that wants to be written. I've learned that most often, music is a mirror that reflects the world around us. But sometimes, it is a "hammer" to help shape the world around us.

That's why this song and this music video are important to me. I needed to write a song, and with the help of my good friend Dean Love, shoot a music video that would counter the skewed and purposefully inaccurate image of the beautiful and powerful "OCCUPY WALL STREET" movement by the news media in general, and FOX specifically.

This is the first time in a lifetime that the "people"... you and me... can actually reach more hearts and minds than the major news organizations if we all get behind an idea and do "something" rather than nothing. If we all just get a little enthusiastic and fired up, and take this song and truthful image and pass it on to our own friends and families, this thing will reach around the globe. Maybe some of you will feel Creative and inspired enough to forward it to news organizations and people in government. Maybe some of you actually work in the media. If we get behind it...

I mean, there isn't a bad seat in Merkin Concert Hall in The Kaufman Center. there really isn't. If you've ever been there you know... it's a beautiful 500-seat venue which is designed for orchestral concerts. So, it's a wide stage with a very intimate feel.

Every year I get to share a stage with some of the most amazing, funniest, most generous, good-hearted, fun artists anywhere... and that's at Merkin Concert Hall in The Kaufman Center in New York City. This year it's lookin' like the usual suspects... George Wurzbach, Teresa Reynolds, Nelson Montana, Ryan Cavan, David Marcus and Chris Tedesco.

Yeah, I know right now December 10th might feel like a long way off. But it's really about 6 weeks away. And you know how it goes once we get into November, tickets start flying.

So, it might be a good idea to kinda plan your night around Saturday night, December 10th soon. Y'know? Call a few friends. See who's gonna be in town. See who feels like grabbing dinner in Manhattan that weekend and catching the show.

Y'know? Music is most often a "mirror" to help reflect the world around us. But sometimes it's also a "hammer" to help shape the world around us. Both ways... it usually feels great if you're doin' it right!

We're still looking of the right person to direct the piece and we could still use some help financially. If you're inclined to help (Or you're one of those people who just has too damned much money and wants to put it to good use!) ... this is what we're trying to do. Maybe it's time to reach a larger audience!!!! Maybe on Broadway!

In a nutshell, we're putting together something that we hope is headed for Broadway or... Jupiter... or... I don't know. But it's gonna be done someplace. Broadway legend, TONY WALTON, a man who has more Tony Awards and Academy Awards than I have socks, is behind it 100%... so now it's just about getting the right team together and working it. I'll be inviting all of you to another one of those small, unplugged work sessions very soon, so keep checking back. The last 2 filled up in a matter of hours.
