Hey really quickly, right at the top of this update... here's a slightly different version of some clips from other "Year End Concert" concerts.
.
There's more video down the page, and different ways you can grab tickets this week. But I gotta get this outta the way first.
If you did the whole "shopping thing" I hope it was sane and fun experience. If you have some people in your life who you just hafta get a little, like, $20 present for and you never know what to get... I've got an idea here today!
You guys know that we have the big "Year End Concert" in less than 2 weeks. But here's something you might wanna think about!
Y'know how there are always people who you gotta get a little Christmas gift for, and you have like NO idea what to get? Here's something that is "Uniquely New York" and something that nobody can get anywhere else! Not in itunes? Not in a store! Nowhere except at...
"THE SOMETHING'TH ANNUAL YEAR END CONCERT"
.
Y'know? This past summer I wrote a bunch of new songs and ran them past you guys in Central Park. But they're not on an album yet! And remember some of those songs from last year's concert? I produced a one-of-a-kind CD with 12 new songs... and I'm gonna have it on sale at the gig this year.
Here's the thing!!!!
I also teamed up with my pal, Emmy Award-wining filmmaker Dean Love, to shoot and produce a special DVD called the "Occupy Wall Street Rag". On Saturday night, December 10th... if you buy the CD with the 12 new songs on it, I'll give you the DVD for FREE!
. Songs like -- "With Anyone But You", "The Last Protest Song", There Will Always Be People",
"You Might Be Her", "In My Arms this Christmas", "With Me", "A different Cowboys Lament"
... and a bunch more.
.
And the DVD is FREE. Pretty cool? One thing about CDs and DVDs at holiday time... THEY'RE SO DAMNED EASY TO GIFT WRAP!!!
So when you come to the concert, bring a few extra bucks and get some of that Christmas shopping done in one night. (Sorry... y'gotta bring a little cash. We're not set up for credit cards. This whole thing is still a very grassroots thing!!!)'' Seriously. Just stick a little extra cash in your pocket the night of the gig and get some of that holiday shopping done in one place! (Ha! It'll help me with MY Christmas shopping at the same time!!!)
Wherever you are in the country, or wherever you are in the world I hope you're havin' a great season. If you're here in New York City or you plan to be on Saturday night December 10th, I hope I get to see your shining face at Merkin Concert Hall. Don't get sold outta this one. Every year the tickets are starting to go a little faster as it gets closer.
.
So if you haven't gotten your tickets yet, y'might wanna do that this week.
The box office is open today and all week.

There isn't a bad seat in Merkin Concert Hall. I'm serious, the guys in the balcony have as much fun as the people in the orchestra. It's always a really fun crowd up there. And this beautiful venue is really designed for orchestral stuff, so it's really very intimate. The balcony is very close to the stage... like, the first row of the balcony is at Row H in the orchestra.
NOW -- here's a song I'm gonna debut with the bad at the gig on December 10th. And once again, I wanna ask you guys to keep this video moving around the planet. (It is intended to help counter the distorted and often purposely skewed image of the "Occupy Wall Street" movement by much of the "news" media. You can help by turning all your friends onto this video.)
THE NEWEST SONG AND VIDEO!

Send this video to everyone you know. Send it to people you don't know! Post it to your Facebook pages. Email it to Congress. Send it everywhere!
Y'know? This was year #20 that I've been known as "That Guitar Man from Central Park". As the result of sharing all those typically amazing afternoons of music an laughs in the middle of the greatest city in the world, I've become aware that there are always a lot of you checking in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world.
Thanks again to all of you who hung with me this year during our "outdoor" season.
For newcomers, here's a little Photo Gallery from this past Summer. Very cool. Maybe you're in there! (It's still growing!)
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
