Damn! I love doing what I do. I get to work with the greatest people. I get to make my life up as I go along. I get to follow Inspiration wherever it leads. And when I'm lucky enough to come up with something fun or something beautiful or something worthwhile, I've got people in my life who help bring it to life.
Today I'm heading into the rehearsal studio for the first time since last year to assemble this little group of amazing artists -- George Wurzbach, Ryan Cavan, Nelson Montana, Chris Tedesco, Dave Marcus and Teresa Reynolds. Not only are they also good at what they do, they are among the sweetest people I know. So I always have so much fun putting these gigs together. We really do laugh as much as we sing at these things.

Seriously. A year is too long. If we get any of the other projects going, the two big possibilities I've been talkin' about around here... all of these wonderful people will be involved. I've always said it, "If a door ever, ever opens for me, I'm gonna stick my foot in it and everybody I love workin' with scoots through with me!"
But we'll all be together on stage at Merkin Concert Hall in the Kaufman Center on December 10th.
"The SOMETHING'TH ANNUAL YEAR END CONCERT"
.
It's a yearly tradition that, every year, turns into something very special.
You can get tickets online right now by hitting the banner below. But the box office is open today and all week! You can call them directly...

...and talk to Biz or Shayla. They're great!!!
We laugh as much as we sing at these things! And we have a whole bunch of new songs and a few surprises this year. We'll also be singing a bunch of your favorites from Central Park. Right now, there are plenty of good seats left. There are 500 seats in Merkin Concert Hall and there isn't a bad seat in the house. If you've ever been there you know... even the balcony is right on top of the stage so it's a very intimate venue. It's still early, but as of today there are about 250 seats left.
Now that we're into November, tickets start flying.
Okay... once again, I teamed up with my pal Dean, who is an EMMY AWARD-winning filmmaker... in support of OWS! HERE'S THE NEWEST VIDEO!(It is intended to help counter the distorted and often purposely skewed image of the "Occupy Wall Street" movement by much of the "news" media. You can help by turning all your friends onto this video.)
.
How does an idea or a feeling make it all the way around the planet in one week or one day?
YOU!
Dat's how!
Send this video to everyone you know. Send it to people you don't know! Post it to your Facebook pages. Email it to Congress. Send it everywhere!
Okay now, for any newcomers... here's something about one of the two big projects we're cookin' here at the site.
Y'know? Music is most often a "mirror" to help reflect the world around us. But sometimes it's also a "hammer" to help shape the world around us. Both ways... it usually feels great if you're doin' it right! Maybe it's time to reach a larger audience!!!! Maybe on Broadway!
In a nutshell, we're putting together something that we hope is headed for Broadway or... Jupiter... or... I don't know. But it's gonna be done someplace. Broadway legend, TONY WALTON, a man who has more Tony Awards and Academy Awards than I have socks, is behind it 100%... so now it's just about getting the right team together and working it. I'll be inviting all of you to another one of those small, unplugged work sessions very soon, so keep checking back. The last 2 filled up in a matter of hours.
Here's a little 10-minute video from Tony and his wife... explaining the project.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
