Wow!

.

.

Wow!
.

.

.

I mean...

.

.

F*ckin' WOW!

.

.

.

Y'know, this is 2 years in a row that the second Saturday in October has turned into one of those "Golden" days out on "The Hill" by the Lake in Central Park. Last year at this time exactly the same thing.

Yesterday was just one more reason that I say all the time that I feel like the luckiest man alive! Were you out there with me!?

HEY LISTEN... please check back. I'm gonna be back just a little later today with some photos sent into the website once again from David Hayase and a bunch from Dean Love. (Dean also shot some great video!) And I'll have a whole bunch more tomorrow and all week, then I'll enter them into this year's PHOTO GALLERY. (If you've hung with me at all this season, maybe you're in there already!)

.

But check back every day anyway. I update this thing every day.

.

YESTERDAY, SERIOUSLY! WHAT A DAY!

We'll have photos and video of a lot of this stuff all week. Frankie sang a song with me! Eric from Germany sang "Tom Cruise Scares Me" with me! That woman, Lisa on her first date, sang a song with me. (Okay, she still frightens me a little.) That beautiful couple sharing their first dance with all of us was something special. The beautiful girl, Sandra, in the rowboat asking for The Beatles! Those fun people from Massachusetts asking for the Facebook Song! That little guy who was just rockin' out!!! And Teresa Reynolds... well, there just aren't words to describe what it's like to share a microphone with her.

Perfect, perfect, perfect weather.

And my newest song... "There Will Always Be" (People who suck) ... seems to be a hit.

.

.

Thanks again.

Hey listen... I'm gonna enter all of your email addresses into the system this week. And like I said, I really don't send out a lot of messages -- maybe... maybe once every 2 weeks, probably less. You won't get any of that "inspirational" or "cute" email from me, okay? I just try to keep you up on what's goin' on at this website and what's comin' up. But I oughta tell you right now that the tickets for the concert on December 10 are already on sale! And the box office is open on Sunday! You can call them today...

212-501-3330

...to make sure you get the very best seats.

I mean, there isn't a bad seat in Merkin Concert Hall in The Kaufman Center. there really isn't. If you've ever been there you know... it's a beautiful 500-seat venue which is designed for orchestral concerts. So, it's a wide stage with a very intimate feel.

Wait! Wait! Wait! I always forget a lot of you are new to all of this. What the hell am I talking about!? I'm talkin' about...

"The Something'th Annual Year End Concert"

Every year I get to share a stage with some of the most amazing, funniest, most generous, good-hearted, fun artists anywhere... and that's at Merkin Concert Hall in The Kaufman Center in New York City. This year it's lookin' like the usual suspects... George Wurzbach, Teresa Reynolds, Nelson Montana, Ryan Cavan, David Marcus and Chris Tedesco.

Yeah, I know right now December 10th might feel like a long way off. But this coming weekend is already the last weekend of September. And you know how it goes once we get into November, tickets start flying.

So, it might be a good idea to kinda plan your night around Saturday night, December 10th soon. Y'know? Call a few friends. See who's gonna be in town. See who feels like grabbing dinner in Manhattan that weekend and catching the show.

.

If you already know that you wanna be at this show and you wanna grab the very best seats, you can get them today!!!!

I wanna jump start myself, my enthusiasm, and everybody's awareness about just a couple of really fun and exciting projects on the horizon. FIRST -- this is the new Broadway project. I'm gonna talk about this a little bit more tomorrow as well. I really feel that it's time to take the whole feeling we get in Central Park to a much larger audience. I'm just about to enter a new place where this little "Broadway" piece will really begin to come together. Now I'm just in the "dating" process... to find the right producers to make it a reality... and the right director/co-writer/co-creator to bring this thing to life.

Seriously. This is getting exciting. But then again.... it's what I do. This is the kind of stuff that makes me live.

In a nutshell, we're putting together something that we hope is headed for Broadway or... Jupiter... or... I don't know. But it's gonna be done someplace. Broadway legend, TONY WALTON, a man who has more Tony Awards and Academy Awards than I have socks, is behind it 100%... so now it's just about getting the right team together and working it.

Here's a little 10-minute video from Tony and his wife... explaining the project.

Hey listen, as I'm wrapping up my 20th season as "That Guitar Man from Central Park", a whole bunch of us are thinking it's time to bring the whole thing to a much larger audience.

Y'know? I get to work with some of the most amazing, generous and talented artists. They're all wonderful people, too, or I wouldn't call them my friends as well as colleagues. And as much as I like writing song, putting my guitar on my shoulder and being "the guy", I also love being "the guy who gets to open a door for the other guys!"

So, my buddy and I are gonna try to get this project on it's feet.

He's Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Dean Love, and this is really his baby. He's asked me to host it and help bring my artist-friends to the project as well... hopefully letting the whole world in on some of the wonderful things they're doing.

THERE

I guess if you've been coming around here at all, you know about this and that we need your help with it! It's a web-series / TV project that I've been telling you about over the past few months and we've finally launched it's funding campaign.

And then click here to visit the launch website to be a part of all of this. At the site you can see all the cool shit you get for joining this effort.

I'll be telling you guys a lot more about it over the next few weeks.

I updated this year's photo gallery. It just keeps growing. (Maybe you're in there!!!)

AND HERE'S A REALLY FUN GALLERY FROM LAST SUMMER!!!

If you're new you can always go back and browse through THE ARCHIVE as far back as you wanna go. I mean... thanks to my friend, my webmaster, and resident evil genius James Marino, you can historically go back through this website all the way back through the Bush years right up until the present. It's really kinda freaky how much content is here on this site.... cartoons, free songs, Photoshop images. Very cool.

Here are a couple of different fun galleries to check out.

Y'know, honestly -- what a very cool thing it is I get to do with my Life and my music. I'm so, so grateful to every single one of you who are reading this right now... every single person who's ever hung out with me even once in that park. It means so much to me to know that there are people who "get" what my music and my stories have to say to the world. It reminds me... I guess, it reminds all of us that we're not alone and that there are others who "get it".

Are you new here to this website? Now, you might be one of the people who's checking in here for the first time. (There are always a bunch of newcomers here at the site, especially in the Summer season. Bookmark it every day and check back. I'm gonna start bring more video to this page again very soon.)

GIMME A SHOUT HERE!

(Actually, gimme a shout for any reason at all!)

.

HAVE FUN TODAY!!!!!! (And be cool to each other, okay?)

.

Thanks for everything.

.

Peace ☮

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
