AND OF COURSE... IT TURNED INTO "HOT DOG DAY"!!!

Were you out in Central Park with me yesterday? If you were... THANKS AGAIN! Man! It was another one of those "golden" days. Seriously, I hardly know where to begin.

We laughed more than I remember laughing out there in one day. Teresa Reynolds is an angel to sing with. David Marcus made a surprise appearance all the way from Maryland. Frankie gave us a song.

We had MORE people skipping and dancing to that one song than we ever had! That was wild! We saw 3 married couples share their first dance and I hafta say... I don't think I ever remember seeing happier grooms and more stunningly beautiful brides. No kidding.

The guy from Germany standing up in his rowboat getting the entire "Hill" to wave to the music.

I mean, some days I start out feeling us a little bit "off". Some days, I think like everybody, I wake up and the radar is just a little off. Maybe I'm feeling a little free-floating anxiety for no particular reason. Maybe I'm feeling a little restless or discontented. Maybe I'm feeling a little lost or lonely. And then I pack up my guitar and head out to Central Park to do what I've been doing for the past 20 years... and every time... I mean every time, you guys are a tonic for me.

Thanks for the laughs. Thank for the smiles. Thanks for the generosity of Spirit. Thanks for singing with me and sharing your precious time with me.

AND TODAY! I'm gonna be a part of something very cool. A good friend of mine with whom I go to a LOT of Yankees games is celebrating a birthday today. So, she decided to throw herself what she's calling an "8-year Old Boy's Birthday Party" and a whole bunch of us, a lot of people from "The Hill" and a bunch of her friends... we're all heading up to Yankee Stadium today. This oughta be a blast.

HEY LISTEN! I'll be back all week with some really fun stuff. I might kinda take tomorrow (Monday) to just kick back and do... um... nuthin'!!!!

But this week, I think I'm gonna be making some progress on a couple of brand new songs and a couple of really fun projects. So, I'll run them by you here at the website!

Y'know, honestly -- what a very cool thing it is I get to do with my Life and my music. I'm so, so grateful to every single one of you who are reading this right now... every single person who's ever hung out with me even once in that park. It means so much to me to know that there are people who "get" what my music and my stories have to say to the world. It reminds me... I guess, it reminds all of us that we're not alone and that there are others who "get it".

Y'know what? I always say that when you do what you love for a living, when you do what I do for a living, every day of a Life is a vacation day and every day is a work day. So I think filmmaker Dean Love and I are gonna shoot a pitch video for an idea we've been kickin' around for an interactive, internet TV show called "THERE".

I'm really getting to work on a couple of things... one of them is this new Broadway project. I'm gonna talk about this a little bit more tomorrow as well. I really feel that it's time to take the whole feeling we get in Central Park to a much larger audience. I'm just about to enter a new place where this little "Broadway" piece will really begin to come together. Now I'm just in the "dating" process... to find the right producers to make it a reality... and the right director/co-writer/co-creator to bring this thing to life.

Seriously. This is getting exciting. But then again.... it's what I do. This is the kind of stuff that makes me live.

In a nutshell, we're putting together something that we hope is headed for Broadway or... Jupiter... or... I don't know. But it's gonna be done someplace. Broadway legend, TONY WALTON, a man who has more Tony Awards and Academy Awards than I have socks, is behind it 100%... so now it's just about getting the right team together and working it.
