Welcome to all of you across the country and around the world.
Here in The Big Apple I'm thinkin' we should get all these thunderstorms and rainclouds outta here today and tonight... and watch the Sun come out for tomorrow afternoon. I think we're gonna get lucky.
When that happens, I'll be heading back to Central Park with my guitar to hang with all of you. Gonna share some music and laughs with a few thousand of my closest friends. If you've never been out there with me, or if it's been a while and you don't remember exactly where we are, here's a little map you can check out. You can click on this image for a larger, printable version.

I'm serious. We might see some of those "popcorn" thunderstorms here and there late tomorrow afternoon. But, I have a good feeling about the weather. I actually have a good feeling about tomorrow in every way.
I wanna start you guys off with a song from Groucho in a Marx Brothers movie. (Horse Feathers) This is the opening song in this film. There's something in this song that actually has something to do with one of the most popular songs I've written. I'll ask you guys tomorrow if anyone can pick it out.

Y'know?
If you're anywhere in or around New York City, I hope you decided to hang with me for a little while tomorrow afternoon. We had a blast last Saturday. Were you out there?
Y'know? I hafta say this again... but this time with a little more emphasis.
I'm gonna talk about this a little bit more tomorrow as well. I really feel that it's time to take the whole feeling we get in Central Park to a much larger audience. I'm just about to enter a new place where this little "Broadway" piece will really begin to come together. Now I'm just in the "dating" process... to find the right producers to make it a reality... and the right director/co-writer/co-creator to bring this thing to life.
Seriously. This is getting exciting. But then again.... it's what I do. This is the kind of stuff that makes me live.
Again, thank you to all of you who participated in the work sessions a few months ago that helped flesh this thing out. The more I run this idea and this project passed other Creative spirits, the more I begin to realize it's potential to say something good. I have a feeling it's time now to find the right person to direct this show. It's gotta be someone who really "gets it" and has an exciting vision for it.
Here's a video from Academy Award-winner Tony Walton and his wife. they "get it" and this guy has more Tony Awards than I have socks!
My feeling is, it's not enough for a show like this to be good... it also oughta be good-for-something.

I'm really enjoying all of your comments about the newest songs, so keep 'em comin'! This was the LIVE debut of this next song in December here in NYC.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
