Man!

GOT ANOTHER VIDEO OUT OF THE ARCHIVE HERE TODAY!

And... I'll be telling you guys a little more about this upcoming event on August 17th when I get to the park on Saturday afternoon.

Already Wednesday! Just a few days away from getting back out to the park with my guitar. and hopefully, it ain't gonna be as un-godly hot as it was last weekend.

Y'know? Even though we were smack in the middle of a Summer heat wave, we had a really cool time out there at "The Hill"

As promised, here are a few more photos... sent in to the website from a couple of good guys who were out in the park... named Billy Planer and David Hayase.

Here are the photos from Billy featuring his group ETGAR!

Y'know what?

Before we get to all the other stuff about the possible Broadway show and all that... let me pull another video out of the Archive from "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" at Merkin Hall in The Kaufman Center last December.

Then email me here to share your comments about the song...

(Or anything else that's on your mind!)

OKAY!

Y'know, honestly -- what a very cool thing it is I get to do with my Life and my music. I'm so, so grateful to every single one of you who are reading this right now... every single person who's ever hung out with me even once in that park. It means so much to me to know that there are people who "get" what my music and my stories have to say to the world. It reminds me... I guess, it reminds all of us that we're not alone and that there are others who "get it".

Y'know what? I always say that when you do what you love for a living, when you do what I do for a living, every day of a Life is a vacation day and every day is a work day. So I think filmmaker Dean Love and I are gonna shoot a pitch video for an idea we've been kickin' around for an interactive, internet TV show called "THERE". But besides that... I'm gonna take it real easy for a couple of days.

The I'm really getting to work on a couple of things... one of them is this new Broadway project.

In a nutshell, we're putting together something that we hope is headed for Broadway or... Jupiter... or... I don't know. But it's gonna be done someplace. Broadway legend, TONY WALTON, a man who has more Tony Awards and Academy Awards than I have socks, is behind it 100%... so now it's just about getting the right team together and working it. I'll be inviting all of you to another one of those small, unplugged work sessions very soon, so keep checking back. The last 2 filled up in a matter of hours.

Here's a little 10-minute video from Tony and his wife... explaining the project.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
