GOT MORE PHOTOS AND A WONDERFUL VIDEO FOR YOU TODAY. (A little further down the page.)

Y'know?

I checked the stats for this summer and I hafta tell you... more than ever before, people are checking in here at this website from all over. I mean it. I always say that I'm aware of you guys who live in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. But seriously... this website is becoming more and more global every day.

And that's a very cool thing.

Because as an American singer/songwriter and a New Yorker to my core, I'm not only sharing my music with people who live in New York City, but also across the country and around this tiny, tiny planet of ours. And I get to hear from you, too. People are not shy about sharing their thoughts and feelings with me and that's just another beautiful thing. The good news for me is that the vast majority of you "get it". I guess that kinda figures. And the few that disagree with the way I view this world and the things I write about what goes on in this country... well... they seem to keep coming back! And that's good, too. (I always say, as a folk singer, if I'm not getting a little hate-mail and riling some people up then I'm just not doing my job.)

So, here we are in the middle of another week, just a few days away from another Friday night in the "Sunset on the Hudson Concert Series" and another Saturday afternoon of music and laughs and stories and who-knows-what at "The Hill" in Central Park.

You can check out a whole big bunch of photos from this past Saturday in YESTERDAY'S UPDATE.

And here's another batch of new photos!

That's what it's all about.

Let's keep it going.

So yes... weather-permitting we head back down to The Village to play the Sun down in the west this Friday night.

And then it's back out to Central Park on Saturday afternoon.

Um... we have a lot of very cool things goin' on around here this year. And then, of course, it all leads up to "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" in December. This year it's on Saturday night December 10th... in case you're one of those people checking in here from a different part o the country or a different part of the world and you wanna be in town for that great gig.

I just hope if you're reading this right now, you bookmark this page and check back every day. And I hope you hit the contact button and email me if you have any questions, or anything to say, or anything to add to the ideas and thoughts being kicked around here on this site.

Oh hey!

I added all of the photos from last weekend to this year's Photo Gallery. So check it out and see if your smiling face is in there. (Or someone else you know!!!)

If you're new you can always go back and browse through THE ARCHIVE as far back as you wanna go. I mean... thanks to my friend, my webmaster, and resident evil genius James Marino, you can historically go back through this website all the way back through the Bush years right up until the present. It's really kinda freaky how much content is here on this site.... cartoons, free songs, Photoshop images. Very cool.

And the Photo Galleries just keep growing. (Maybe you're in there!!!).

AND HERE'S A REALLY FUN GALLERY FROM LAST SUMMER!!!

BTW -- "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is booked for Saturday night, December 10th. I know it's early, but I wanted to let you know if you're one of those people who travel down from Buffalo, or in from Pennsylvania, or Maryland, or Germany just for this gig.

The internet has made the world a very small campus and that's a really cool thing. Mostly, if you check back at this website every day, I hope you feel that... "It's Just Us" feeling. You're not alone.

That "Broadway" thing...

Okay now you can find out how YOU can be a part of this new project here.

In a nutshell, we're putting together something that we hope is headed for Broadway or... Jupiter... or... I don't know. But it's gonna be done someplace. Broadway legend, TONY WALTON, a man who has more Tony Awards and Academy Awards than I have socks, is behind it 100%... so now it's just about getting the right team together and working it. I'll be inviting all of you to another one of those small, unplugged work sessions very soon, so keep checking back. The last 2 filled up in a matter of hours.

Here's a little 10-minute video from Tony and his wife... explaining the project.

And here's a link to visit if YOU wanna be a real part of this process.

VIDEO TIME

Here's another song that can't end up in the project 'cause I didn't write it. But it's a fun moment from last year's "Year End Concert".

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
