It never stops.

It just never stops.

Every time I've headed out to that park with a piece of wood strung with silver wire, something amazing happens... and I get to be right in the middle of it.

THANK YOU again to every single one of you who hung out with me yesterday.

.

.

Actually, I hafta say "Thanks" to every single person who has ever spent even one day with me in that park. I'm a very lucky man.

.

.

AND YESTERDAY was just another in a long, long string of wonderful days filled with wonderful moments.

Here's the first batch of photos from yesterday.

Click on each photo for larger image.

These images were caught through the lens of publicist Laura Manske. (More soon.)

.

Book mark this page and check back!

There will be more photos all week, more cool stuff, more news about what's coming up and what's goin' on. In fact, there are already a whole bunch of photos from this year's "outdoor" season in this Photo Gallery that just keeps growing. (Maybe you're in there!!!).

.

Okay, a little bit of... well.. not bad news. Just news. Just one of those things.

I think you guys might hafta check back on Tuesday or Wednesday for the next batch. Because I'm having just a little "hardware" trouble with the computer I'm using right at this moment. Y'know... it's just one of those behind-the-scenes things. Y'know those FREE CDs and DVDs I give away with the purchase of one of the albums? Well, I burn them individually at home and I think I just burned out the DVD burner in this machine.

SO THERE MIGHT NOT BE AN UPDATE FOR JUST A DAY OR TWO.

I'm gonna hafta bring this thing down to The Apple Store and see if they can take care of the problem as quickly as possible, so I can get back up and running to let you guys know about the progress on the new project.

(I know. I know. some of you are brand new here! You're asking, "What new project?")

.

.

Y'know, honestly -- what a very cool thing it is I get to do with my Life and my music. I'm so, so grateful to every single one of you who are reading this right now... every single person who's ever hung out with me even once in that park. It means so much to me to know that there are people who "get" what my music and my stories have to say to the world. It reminds me... I guess, it reminds all of us that we're not alone and that there are others who "get it".

Y'know what? I always say that when you do what you love for a living, when you do what I do for a living, every day of a Life is a vacation day and every day is a work day. So I think filmmaker Dean Love and I are gonna shoot a pitch video for an idea we've been kickin' around for an interactive, internet TV show called "THERE". But besides that... I'm gonna take it real easy for a couple of days.

Now, recently I've met with a handful of wonderful, Creative people who were interested in directing the workshop of the new stage project. All of them are amazing people and all of them are artists with whom I'd like to work. But I kinda new right away, from the moment I met with this one person, that she was the right person to direct this new project. I plan to meet with Holly-Anne Ruggeiro again as soon as she's finished opening the musical "Okahoma" in Boston. She might even make it out to "the Hill" a week from now next Saturday afternoon. Lookin' forward to that. As soon as I meet with her again, and I introduce her to George Wurzbach, and maybe set up a meeting with her and Tony Walton... I'm gonna introduce you guys to her. I've been holding off booking the next work session until I had an idea if this wonderful woman was on board for the ride. It looks like she is. So I'll let you guys know when you can reserve a seat at that thing if you wanna be a part of this development process. (The last 2 work sessions filled up in about 4 hours!)

In a nutshell, we're putting together something that we hope is headed for Broadway or... Jupiter... or... I don't know. But it's gonna be done someplace. Broadway legend, TONY WALTON, a man who has more Tony Awards and Academy Awards than I have socks, is behind it 100%... so now it's just about getting the right team together and working it. I'll be inviting all of you to another one of those small, unplugged work sessions very soon, so keep checking back. The last 2 filled up in a matter of hours.

Here's a little 10-minute video from Tony and his wife... explaining the project.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
