You might be checking in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world. If you're one of the beautiful people who hung out with me any of the Saturday afternoons on Central Park this year, you might wanna check out this year's Photo Gallery to see if you wound up in there! (There are several really fun galleries further down the page.)

Here in NYC we're havin' us one of those typically hot, humid, summertime weeks. "Hot Town... Summer in the City" kinda weeks.
Still, New York is the "coolest" place I've ever been.

HEY!
This coming Saturday -- no matter what the weather, I won't be seeing you in Central Park. So sorry. But we weren't given the permit for which I applied back in January. (It's a long, complicated story. But it seems we can't get a permit for each Saturday anymore. Kind of a shame. But ultimately, it's all cool.)
SO!No music and no great hang on Saturday.
But if you think you're gonna be jonesin' for that "It's Just Us" feeling, and you really feel like you might wanna start off the weekend with a little music and a few laughs, make plans right now to head down to The Village late-afternoon, early Friday Night.
Seriously... call a few friends today and plan to meet on Pier 45 in Hudson River Park to watch the Sun go down on Friday night. It's really a sweet thing to do. I crank up the music at 7:00 and play the Sun down until 9:00.
Right now I just wanna share a few more photos from past Saturday which were sent in to the website from a long-time "Hill" regular, photographer Sean Friedman.

Publicist Laura Manske was also out there again with her camera. You can check out a bunch of those photos here. Actually, if you're new you can always go back and browse through THE ARCHIVE as far back as you wanna go. I mean... thanks to my friend, my webmaster, and resident evil genius James Marino, you can historically go back through this website all the way back through the Bush years right up until the present. It's really kinda freaky how much content is here on this site.... cartoons, free songs, Photoshop images. Very cool.
And the Photo Galleries just keep growing. (Maybe you're in there!!!).

AND HERE'S A REALLY FUN GALLERY FROM LAST SUMMER!!!

BTW -- "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is booked for Saturday night, December 10th. I know it's early, but I wanted to let you know if you're one of those people who travel down from Buffalo, or in from Pennsylvania, or Maryland, or Germany just for this gig.
The internet has made the world a very small campus and that's a really cool thing. Mostly, if you check back at this website every day, I hope you feel that... "It's Just Us" feeling. You're not alone.

This is one thing very cool thing I know is gonna happen... because so many great people are getting behind it.
In a nutshell, we're putting together something that we hope is headed for Broadway or... Jupiter... or... I don't know. But it's gonna be done someplace. Broadway legend, TONY WALTON, a man who has more Tony Awards and Academy Awards than I have socks, is behind it 100%... so now it's just about getting the right team together and working it. I'll be inviting all of you to another one of those small, unplugged work sessions very soon, so keep checking back. The last 2 filled up in a matter of hours.
Here's a little 10-minute video from Tony and his wife... explaining the project.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
