Now... "HI" to all of you in different parts of the country and different parts of the world.
Here in New York City things are movin' along sweetly. But I've got a little bit of news for you guys today.
First -- I've just gotta get this out, for any of you who were with me in Central Park on Saturday and heard my latest version of the song "Tom Cruise Scares Me"...
.
.
DAMN! THAT SON-OF-A-BITCH ANTHONY WEINER JUST RUINED MY LATEST LYRIC!!!!
.
.
(Sung to Tom Cruise Scares Me)
Anthony Weiner scares me
And it's just such a shame
A man with his dilemma
Might wanna change his name
We all do really stupid things but let's be fair
Took a photo of his weiner, and I just don't care
But he claimed he couldn't recognize his underwear
And that scares me.
.
Okay.
Secondly, we didn't get the permit for singing in Central Park this weekend. That's kind of a drag. BUT -- this Friday is the first concert in the "Sunset on the Hudson Concert Series" on Pier 45 in Hudson River Park.
. .
So, if you think you're gonna be jonesin' for that "It Just Us" feeling this weekend, you can head down to The Village and hang wit me while I play the Sun down in the west. Kinda cool to be hangin' with the "below-fourteenth-street crowd" once in a while.
I also have a feeling Teresa Reynolds might show up down there to sit in on a few songs during the first sunset of the 2011 season.
She was out Central Park with me last Saturday for the first time this year and we had a blast. We sang a couple of brand new songs that I just wrote and a whole bunch of favorites. We're gonna work out some new stuff all Summer, but a s always, it's the most fun when we make it up as we go along.
And today I just wanna add a whole bunch of photos to The 2001 Photo Gallery from really great people who have just sent their pictured in to the website. (Thanks to Sean Friedman and Arlene Persach and David Hayase.)

THESE ARE FROM ARLENE PERSACH

THESE ARE FROM SEAN FRIEDMAN
. . . .
I'll be back tomorrow with just a few more images from this past weekend. And maybe, maybe a new video from another first dance in Central Park.
As always, if you're lookin' for a whole bunch of photos to see what it is we do out in Central Park every year... if you're new here and you need a little catchin' up... for any newcomers, you can check out this little Photo Gallery from last summer's outdoor season... in Central Park and down on Pier 45 in the Village.
Click to visit last year's gallery
You can always hit THE ARCHIVE and catch up with what's been going on.

Listen guys... I know that from this point on a lot of you regulars stop reading because it;s always about our new project and a re-posting of a bunch of video.
I think I'm gonna start mixing up the video... y'know... pulling some classic video out of The Archive and asking for your reactions. I might even start making a bunch of songs available for FREE downloads to see which ones might make their way into the theater piece we're working on.
In a nutshell, we're putting together something that we hope is headed for Broadway or... Jupiter... or... I don't know. But it's gonna be done someplace. Broadway legend, TONY WALTON, a man who has more Tony Awards and Academy Awards than I have socks, is behind it 100%... so now it's just about getting the right team together and working it. I'll be inviting all of you to another one of those small, unplugged work sessions very soon, so keep checking back. The last 2 filled up in a matter of hours.
Here's a little 10-minute video from Tony and his wife... explaining the project.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
