Unsettled weather sometimes means we're gonna have another beautiful sunset... one that we play down in the west.

BUT! Sometimes it means that our parade is gonna get rained on.
I try my very best to keep you posted here as soon as I can if the sunset concert is a "GO" or if it's a rain-out. But listen... it's difficult. Sometimes I don't get a call from the Hudson River Park people until the last minute. It's just the nature of things. Sorry if you headed down there.
.
BUT tomorrow!!!
BACK TO CENTRAL PARK!!!
I missed you guys last weekend. And I'm feelin' really, really good about tomorrow. I don't know. Just a feeling that tomorrow is gonna be another typically amazing day, but really special in some way I can't quite put my finger on. If you're gonna be anywhere in or near NYC I hope you get a chance to stop by and hang with me for a while.

For the concert tonight -- just get to Christopher Street in Greenwhich Village and walk west. Then cross the est side highway and out onto Pier 45 in Hudson River Park. We're all the way out on the end of this beautiful, grass covered Pier in the middle of the Hudson River, playing music and singing from 7:00 until 9:00.
.
Then tomorrow, back home to "The Hill" in Central Park. Here's a little map if you're new here and have never been out to hang with us in New York City's little 843 acre backyard.

I'm pretty sure Teresa Reynolds will be coming by to sit in on a bunch of songs. We had a blast singing together in the park 2 weeks ago. If she stops by tomorrow, we'll probably take a run at a handful of new songs and a bunch of the songs you guys already love. We spent a few afternoons this week recording a couple of the newest tracks. Can't wait for you guys to hear them.

BTW -- this season I'm gonna keep a running photo gallery going. So no matter where in the country or where in the world you live, if you were out there hangin' with me over the first two weekends, you can check this gallery now and see if you're shining face is in there.
Here's the link to this year's gallery so far.

I KNOW IT'S EARLY -- but the "year end concert" is booked for Saturday night, December 10th. I wanted to let you know if you're one of those people who travel down from Buffalo, or in from Pennsylvania, or Maryland, or Germany, or wherever just for this gig.
And as always, if you're lookin' for a whole bunch of photos to see what it is we do out in Central Park every year... if you're new here and you need a little catchin' up... for any newcomers, you can check out this little Photo Gallery from last summer's outdoor season... in Central Park and down on Pier 45 in the Village.

You can always hit THE ARCHIVE and catch up with what's been going on.

Hey! Y'know?
Maybe you're checking in here for the first time. If that's the case, I hope you bookmark this page and stop back often. I'm involved in a new project that's really exciting.
In a nutshell, we're putting together something that we hope is headed for Broadway or... Jupiter... or... I don't know. But it's gonna be done someplace. Broadway legend, TONY WALTON, a man who has more Tony Awards and Academy Awards than I have socks, is behind it 100%... so now it's just about getting the right team together and working it. I'll be inviting all of you to another one of those small, unplugged work sessions very soon, so keep checking back. The last 2 filled up in a matter of hours.
Here's a little 10-minute video from Tony and his wife... explaining the project.
WATCH THESE VIDEOS IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY -- and then shoot me an email to tell me if you think they might become a part of the story.

I'm really enjoying all of your comments about the newest songs, so keep 'em comin'! This was the LIVE debut of this next song in December here in NYC.
For you guys again today... the entire concert..."The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is here for you to watch. Go make a pot of coffee. Pour yourself some tea or a nice glass of wine and sit back and watch this thing. Plug in some headphones or some earbuds if you feel like it. You can actually jump around and watch different parts o the show.
We had such a great time again this year in that theater!
(The audio got a little funky during Teresa Reynolds' Christmas song... but I'm do everything I can to fix that sooner than later. Check back.)

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
