What are you doing today!?

You guys know at least part of what I'm doin' today -- the same thing I've done nearly every warm, sunny Saturday afternoon for the past 20 years.

Beautiful day... and it's gonna be an amazing day out there. I can feel it already.

It's just us.

So I'll crank up around 12:30 and we'll just see where the day and the music lead us. If you're new to all of this, here's a little map that will help you find us in New York City's beautiful 843 acre backyard.

I'm gonna be standing by The Lake in Central Park with a guitar on my shoulder. After that... I'm just gonna see where the day takes me.

We'll see who we meet from all around the planet. We'll see what songs spring to mind. We'll see what stories just want to be told and what ideas want to be shared today. We'll see what makes us laugh. We'll see what the day brings.

OH LISTEN... Sarah Palin and her "Traveling Dog & Pony Show of Patriotism" have left town.

I never like it when Palin is in our house. Remember what happened when she spotted that moose on Central Park West on Thanksgiving last year?

So she's not invited today. But you are.

I'm just gonna hang by the Lake, put my guitar on my shoulder and share an afternoon and some music with a few thousand close friends.

I KNOW IT'S EARLY -- but the "year end concert" is booked for Saturday night, December 10th. I wanted to let you know if you're one of those people who travel down from Buffalo, or in from Pennsylvania, or Maryland, or Germany, or wherever just for this gig.

Hey! Y'know?

Maybe you're checking in here because it's later in the day and you were already in the park with me... maybe for the first time. If that's the case, I hope you bookmark this page and stop back often. I'm involved in a new project that's really exciting.

In a nutshell, we're putting together something that we hope is headed for Broadway or... Jupiter... or... I don't know. But it's gonna be done someplace. Broadway legend, TONY WALTON, a man who has more Tony Awards and Academy Awards than I have socks, is behind it 100%... so now it's just about getting the right team together and working it. I'll be inviting all of you to another one of those small, unplugged work sessions very soon, so keep checking back. The last 2 filled up in a matter of hours.

THE (entire) DECEMBER CONCERT

For you guys again today... the entire concert... "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is here for you to watch. Go make a pot of coffee. Pour yourself some tea or a nice glass of wine and sit back and watch this thing. Plug in some headphones or some earbuds if you feel like it. You can actually jump around and watch different parts o the show.

We had such a great time again this year in that theater!

(The audio got a little funky during Teresa Reynolds' Christmas song... but I'm do everything I can to fix that sooner than later. Check back.)
