Listen, I'm getting sooooooo many emails from people wondering when the "outdoor" season is gonna begin in Central Park.
As you guys know, it's always "weather-permitting". But it also has to do with The Permit Office over at The Parks Department. We're gonna hafta see how they handle the Special Events Permits this year. Right now as it stands, we are slated to begin our 20th season in Central Park a week from now on Saturday, May 21.
Cool?
20 years. An entire generation.

Played a wedding for two very special people last night and had two very special people making music with me.... Teresa Reynolds helped me sing a brand new song that I wrote just for the occasion, and Chris Tedesco played violin the way only he does.
It was f*ckin' great.
I've got a private party to play this weekend for some cool people from "The Hill", and I wanna see if I can begin the recording of this new song from the wedding Friday night for you guys to hear. Then I'm spending the rest of the weekend editing the audio files we recorded with my buddy, Sid Bernstein, for the new theatrical project.
And the more I work on this stuff, the more excited I get about what we're going to do.
I mean that.
I'll be telling you guys more this week. But I can tell you that this week I will be scouting out another theater to do one more work session with a LIVE audience. If you were at one of the first 2 sessions, you know what I'm talkin' about. But this one will be a little bit tighter, a little closer to the eventual shape of the piece... and I'm thikin' it would be helpful and fun if Teresa Reynolds and George Wurzbach were on stage with me.
If you're new here and you need a little cathcin' up... for any newcomers, let's start off with a little Photo Gallery from last summer's outdoor season... in Central Park and down on Pier 45 in the Village.

TODAY, once again let me share the video from Academy Award-winner Tony Walton and his wife.
We're trying to put a theatrical piece together that, hopefully, will be a positive thing.

I'm really enjoying all of your comments about the newest songs, so keep 'em comin'! This was the LIVE debut of this next song in December here in NYC.
For you guys again today... the entire concert..."The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is here for you to watch. Go make a pot of coffee. Pour yourself some tea or a nice glass of wine and sit back and watch this thing. Plug in some headphones or some earbuds if you feel like it. You can actually jump around and watch different parts o the show.
We had such a great time again this year in that theater!
(The audio got a little funky during Teresa Reynolds' Christmas song... but I'm do everything I can to fix that sooner than later. Check back.)

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
