This has been another amazing week. And TONIGHT I'm gonna get together with a handful of people in a very small theater on West 44th Street to kick around some ideas for this new theatrical project a bunch of us are thinkin' about.
I'll give you guys a little update tomorrow or early this week and let you know how it went. I'm really sailing into uncharted waters with this one! Gonna be very cool no matter what goes down. I'm really kinda interested to see how this process plays out tonight.
Right now, the working title (And this is only a working title) for the project is...

BY THE WAY...
I often say that we live in a pinball machine of current events. And that's true. But just because the ephemeral attention span of the average American is about a day and half, the people of Japan are still suffering mightily. Here at "That Guitar Man" I'd like to give you a way to actually send help.
If you wanna help the people in Japan directly, you might wanna consider this group. DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS. I feel they do amazing work all around the world in the most important ways. And they're in Japan right now.

Here, closer to home.... life goes on as it does.
We're in a new day and, as always, it's filled with new possibilities.
First up, I wanna welcome everyone who's checking in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world.
Y'know what? For any newcomers, let's start off with a little Photo Gallery from last summer's outdoor season... in Central Park and down on Pier 45 in the Village.

Tell you what...
TODAY, let's start right off with the video from Academy Award-winner Tony Walton and his wife.
We're trying to put a theatrical piece together that, hopefully, will be a positive thing.

SO WHAT CAN YOU DO?
You are everything. Just like on "The Hill" in Central Park, none of this happens if you don't show up. The 3 most important things we need from you...
1. A generous donation of real money. (Yeah, like everything else... it's gonna take money to actually make it happen.)
2. Your suggestions about what you'd like to see in the show... which songs move you, which make you laugh, which songs and stories you think a Broadway audience will get the most out of and enjoy the most.
3. We need you to take it upon yourself to be a little Paul Revere-ish... take it upon yourself to spread the word about this project every day to friends and family. Make it your own. We need you to come up with Creative ideas to get the word out about this effort.

FIND THE EASIEST WAY TO HELP
Your donations are tax-deductible!!! Whatever you decide to give! (So cool.)
Just go to the IndieGoGo website and make a donation with your credit card or debit card...
I'LL BE SETTING UP THE PAGE WITH A LIST OF ALL THE COOL PEOPLE WHO HELP US OUT. (If you'd like to remain anonymous... just let us know that, too.)

If you're new around here, you might wanna make a pot of coffee or pour a glass of wine and browse through The ARCHIVE. Lotsa really fun stuff in there going all the way back to... to.. well, they go a long way back!

I'm really enjoying all of your comments about the newest songs, so keep 'em comin'! This was the LIVE debut of this next song in December here in NYC.
For you guys again today... the entire concert..."The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is here for you to watch. Go make a pot of coffee. Pour yourself some tea or a nice glass of wine and sit back and watch this thing. Plug in some headphones or some earbuds if you feel like it. You can actually jump around and watch different parts o the show.
We had such a great time again this year in that theater!
(The audio got a little funky during Teresa Reynolds' Christmas song... but I'm do everything I can to fix that sooner than later. Check back.)

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
