Well, I'm gonna do another work session this coming Saturday night.
If you're on the guest list, the thing starts at 7:30
The Producer's Club(In The Crowne Theater this week) 358 West 44th Street
If you didn't make it onto the list in time... sorry. It filled up in a matter of hours. BUT! Keep checking back here everyday to keep up with the project. I might be doing more and more free sessions like these with an audience as the show develops.
Okay, welcome to all of you who are checking in here for the first time, or from a different part of the country or a different part of the world. For any newcomers, let's start off with a little photo gallery from last year's "outdoor" season.

In just a few weeks, I'm going to be starting year # 20 in Central Park. That's very cool. But I've got a lot of work to do between now and then on this new theatrical project. I'm really hoping that YOU might wanna be a part of this in a very real way. As always -- It's just us!

Okay, what project are we talkin' about!?
.
After playing in Central Park for 20 years, many people around me have convinced me that it's time to try to tell the story. I'm not sure it's so much a story about "me" as much as it's the story of all of us over the last 20 years -- especially the first 10 years of the 21st century in America, as seen through the eyes of a fiercely independent artist in New York City. (Okay... yeah, that would be me.)
If you read YESTERDAY'S UPDATE... you'll understand why these little sessions are so important. The Creative process is a constantly evolving, living and organic thing in my world. And this week, I think much of it is coming into focus.
THIS VIDEO WILL EXPLAIN THE ULTIMATE GOAL.
(I think)
This is a little 10-minute video explaining the ultimate goal, from Academy Award-winner Tony Walton and his wife.
We're trying to put a theatrical piece together that, hopefully, will be a positive thing.

Get the idea?
And here's a link to the IndieGoGo page where we're still trying to raise the money to pull this thing off.

I'm really enjoying all of your comments about the newest songs, so keep 'em comin'! This was the LIVE debut of this next song in December here in NYC.
For you guys again today... the entire concert..."The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is here for you to watch. Go make a pot of coffee. Pour yourself some tea or a nice glass of wine and sit back and watch this thing. Plug in some headphones or some earbuds if you feel like it. You can actually jump around and watch different parts o the show.
We had such a great time again this year in that theater!
(The audio got a little funky during Teresa Reynolds' Christmas song... but I'm do everything I can to fix that sooner than later. Check back.)

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
