Well... gonna start off by saying so long to a very unique voice in American music. Phoebe Snow left the building this week. Our friend Sid Bernstein managed her at one time in her career. I was lucky enough to share a stage with her in November of 2009.

Man! That woman could sing when she let loose.

Y'know? On a completely unrelated note... sorry there was no update yesterday.

I was all caught up in the coverage in the American news media of the wedding of William and Kate. I couldn't tear myself away. It's so magical.

I get swept away in all the pageantry.

MSNBC, CNN, FOX, CBS, ABC, NBC -- they're all over there in the UK all week. It's wonderful and just magical.

Romantic and magical.

I think this is one of those week's to be a little embarrassed if you work in the "news" media and they sent you across the ocean to cover this crap.

Royalty... Ha! Gimme a f*ckin' break.

I actually spent the entire day and part of the night on Monday, and most of yesterday with my head buried in the script for the new project. About 2 yesterday afternoon, I typed the word "CURTAIN" to finish the first draft of the actual script.

Felt good.

.

Today, it's all about editing the audio portion of the play... the voice-over lines from the inimitable Sid Bernstein. It's gonna be a lot of work... but a lot of fun.
I finished a rough video-storyboard which was the direct result of the 2 work sessions I did in those little theaters downtown over the past 2 weeks. From the looks of it, this little "Broadway" piece is really beginning to come together.

Seriously. This is getting exciting. I have a feeling it's time now for the "Dating Process" to begin... I mean... to start looking for the right person to direct this show. It's gotta be someone who really "gets it" and has an exciting vision for it.

I wanna welcome everyone who's checking in from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. Here in New York City, me and a circle of friends and artists are kickin' around an idea for a theater piece that many think oughta try to find it's way to Broadway. Maybe it'll be better served as a looser, smaller off-Broadway gig.

We'll see.

THE (entire) DECEMBER CONCERT

For you guys again today... the entire concert... "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is here for you to watch. Go make a pot of coffee. Pour yourself some tea or a nice glass of wine and sit back and watch this thing. Plug in some headphones or some earbuds if you feel like it. You can actually jump around and watch different parts o the show.

We had such a great time again this year in that theater!

(The audio got a little funky during Teresa Reynolds' Christmas song... but I'm do everything I can to fix that sooner than later. Check back.)
