HEY!!!

Welcome to the website.

Here we are in the weekend, just one day after I sent out an email about the work-sessions I want an audience for.

IF YOU'RE HERE BECAUSE YOU WANT TO ATTEND ONE OF THE GIGS ON APRIL 2nd OR APRIL 9th... BOTH OF THEM FILLED UP IN LESS THAN 6 HOURS!!!!!

Sorry... wow!

BUT! Keep checking back here over the next couple of days. Because I'm gonna try to secure a larger theater for one of the 2 sessions. Cool?

If you already sent me an email an I replied that you are in the guest list, everything's cool. If you got an email from me saying you were just a little too late... like I said, check back. I'll let you guys know here if we can get more people in the audience for this project.

Damn! When I came up with the idea for this thing and thought of this kind of innovative way of going about it, I thought 2 theaters to seat about 50 or 60 people would be big enough. I wasn't even sure that I would get 50 or 60 people who wanted to be a part of something this experimental. But now... I kinda feel like Roy Scheider in "JAWS"

So, I'll try to get a bigger boat.

Check back.

THIS IS NEW...

Y'know? If you've been comin' around here at all you know that we're doin' something really, very cool this year. It's a new theatrical project that I want YOU to be a part of! (I'll get into that in a minute.)

But yesterday, I introduced a new feature here at the website. I think I'm gonna begin each update with a "Quote of the Day". I see other websites and blogs do that kind of thing, and very often it inspires me to be a slightly better human being for whatever reason. So, before we get to the news about the new project...

Here's today's "QUOTE OF THE DAY"

Okay listen... if you just showed up here to find out what all the hoo-ha is about, this is a little 10-minute video explaining the ultimate goal, from Academy Award-winner Tony Walton and his wife.

We're trying to put a theatrical piece together that, hopefully, will be a positive thing.

Get the idea?

A whole bunch of fellow artists and friends have convinced me that after 20 years of being "That Guitar Man from Central Park", it might be time to tell the story in a different way for a much larger audience. Exactly how this thing is going to evolve is way beyond me at this point. Just kinda making it up as I go along.

And here's a link to the IndieGoGo page where we're still trying to raise the money to pull this thing off.

THE (entire) DECEMBER CONCERT

For you guys again today... the entire concert... "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is here for you to watch. Go make a pot of coffee. Pour yourself some tea or a nice glass of wine and sit back and watch this thing. Plug in some headphones or some earbuds if you feel like it. You can actually jump around and watch different parts o the show.

We had such a great time again this year in that theater!

(The audio got a little funky during Teresa Reynolds' Christmas song... but I'm do everything I can to fix that sooner than later. Check back.)

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
