(Just a play on one of the dumbest looking commercials I've seen this year.)
ANOTHER COMMERCIAL FURTHER DOWN THE PAGE!
Y'know? In a little over a month, I'll be starting year #20 as "That Guitar Man from Central Park".
For any newcomers, let's start off with a little photo gallery from last year's "outdoor" season.

Before we get into today's update, I want to give you "Today's Spelling" to help you throughout your day, watching various news channels. Today's spelling is...
Gadhafi
WE CAN LIST A DIFFERENT SPELLING EACH DAY FOR THE NEXT 110 DAYS.

Moving on...
Okay, if you've been following this at all --
A bunch of people around me have convinced me it's time to tell the story of it all to a larger audience and in another way than just singing by The Lake in Central Park. To that end, I'm gonna do a little series of work sessions with live audiences that will ultimately lead to a "workshop" of some kind of stage piece. It'll probably be part concert, part play, part musical, part "evening of storytelling"... I don't know yet.
But it's fun living the mystery of it all and following the process where it leads.
This coming Saturday I will be doing the first of 2 strange little sessions in The Royal Theater at The Producer's Club in the Theater District. A small invited audience of 60 people will join me and I'll just kinda sing and talk through the idea of this project.
IF YOU'RE HERE BECAUSE YOU WANT TO ATTEND ONE OF THE GIGS ON APRIL 2nd OR APRIL 9th... BOTH OF THEM FILLED UP IN LESS THAN 6 HOURS!!!!!
Sorry, but keep checking back because these will just be the very, very first steps on a journey toward a larger goal. This is a little 10-minute video explaining the ultimate goal, from Academy Award-winner Tony Walton and his wife.
We're trying to put a theatrical piece together that, hopefully, will be a positive thing.
A whole bunch of fellow artists and friends have convinced me that after 20 years of being "That Guitar Man from Central Park", it might be time to tell the story in a different way for a much larger audience. Exactly how this thing is going to evolve is way beyond me at this point. Just kinda making it up as I go along.
And here's a link to the IndieGoGo page where we're still trying to raise the money to pull this thing off.

I'm really enjoying all of your comments about the newest songs, so keep 'em comin'! This was the LIVE debut of this next song in December here in NYC.
For you guys again today... the entire concert..."The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is here for you to watch. Go make a pot of coffee. Pour yourself some tea or a nice glass of wine and sit back and watch this thing. Plug in some headphones or some earbuds if you feel like it. You can actually jump around and watch different parts o the show.
We had such a great time again this year in that theater!
(The audio got a little funky during Teresa Reynolds' Christmas song... but I'm do everything I can to fix that sooner than later. Check back.)

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
