Y'know? I always say I feel like the luckiest man alive. Here's another reason.
I love the change of the seasons in New York City. I do.
I love the Spring when everything is turning green. And I love the Summer, even the hottest days. I love the first chilly wind that blows in the fall. I love Thanksgiving and that first snow flurry during a football game. I love the holiday season and even the idea of New Year's Day.
But January and February are the 2 months in NYC that I could probably do without weather-wise.
That's why I feel so lucky and it's always so cool that I've gotten a chance to do a very special one-week gig every year for the past 10 years or so. Some years it's in the Caribbean. This year, I'm heading back to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mexico... playing music in the sunshine and hangin' out in the Pacific Ocean with a beautiful group of people.
.
.
Now, I was supposed to leave tomorrow. But I'm thinkin' that we might get another batch of weather here in town. So, I switched a few things up and I'm gonna jump on a plane tonight around midnight to see if I can sneak out ahead of it.
So there will be a new update here tomorrow that will last the week.
THEN WHEN I GET BACK, IT'LL BE TIME TO TELL YOU ABOUT THAT NEW PROJECT FOR 2011 !!!!!

.
Yeah, I know. The updates have been rrreeeeaaallllyyy repetitious lately. Believe it or not, there's a reason for that. So if you've been coming around a while I apologize for the lack of new Photoshop images, and new songs-in-the-works, and original funny videos and political cartoons. But trust me... it;s all gonna be with it. We're gonna have so much fun of I can pull of the stuff I wanna pull off with the help of some really amazing people!!!
And if you're new around here, I wanna start off again today with this BRAND NEW VIDEO from the last concert! And wanna know what YOU think about the new songs on this page!
Just sit back and have fun with this moment from the last concert here in NYC!
.
NOW! Send the link to this page to everyone you know!
And... HA! For the love of everything holy... will somebody get this song to people like Sarah Palin!!! Let's pick up where Tina Fey left off. We can have fun with people like her and Glenn Beck and turn them from a national disgrace to a national joke.
Cool?
Let's just fill up the rest of this page with some funny, some hopefully thought-provoking, and some warm, sweet, fun videos from this winter season and last summer season.
.
Here's the newest in the bunch, followed by an assortment of songs and moments.

Okay... how do you feel about the song and what it says?
Okay... here's a Photo Gallery for any newcomers, just to give you a visual of what it is we do in Central Park and on Pier 45 in The Village all summer! (No matter where in the world you're reading this, if you hung out with me you might find your smiling face in this collection!!!)

For you guys again today... the entire concert..."The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" is here for you to watch. Go make a pot of coffee. Pour yourself some tea or a nice glass of wine and sit back and watch this thing. Plug in some headphones or some earbuds if you feel like it. You can actually jump around and watch different parts o the show.
We had such a great time again this year in that theater!
(The audio got a little funky during Teresa Reynolds' Christmas song... but I'm do everything I can to fix that sooner than later. Check back.)

HAVE FUN TODAY... being one of the Good Guys!!!!!!(And be cool to each other, okay?)
It can feel really good to be one of those people who are enjoying Life and trying to make the world a slightly better place... just by being kind, just by trying to understand, just by speaking an honest opinion of what the Truth might be... just by being cool.
.
Thanks for everything.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
