Welcome to the website.

Okay... if you're new here, my name is David. But for the past 20 years I've been known to a few hundred thousand close friends as "That Guitar Man from Central Park". This site is kind of a cool way for all of us to stay in touch, to stay connected. I update this thing almost everyday with thoughts, free songs to download, music video, news, original Photoshop images and cartoons.

Essentially, I'm a fiercely independent artist who has been sharing music and laughs with people from across the country and all around the world every warm weekend right here in the middle of the most amazing city on earth -- New York City.

I feel like I am about the luckiest man alive.

Just to give you an idea, here's a Photo Gallery for any newcomers, just to give you a visual of what it is we do in Central Park and on Pier 45 in The Village all summer! (No matter where in the world you're reading this, if you hung out with me you might find your smiling face in this collection!!!)

But that's because once a year I go out of town to do a week-long gig for a beautiful group of people in a different part o the world. This year, I'm in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mexico... playing music in the sunshine and hangin' out in the Pacific Ocean.

Once again...

I'm sending Good thoughts and wishes to the other side of the world... hoping that secular democracy, Reason and human rights are the offspring of the uprising in Egypt.

As of my leaving on Saturday thing were spiraling out of control. But Truth and Reason cannot be kept under a lid forever. If you ask me, the uprising in Egypt is the direct result of young people being more closely connected and having more information flowing more freely from all around the world.

The world is getting to be a very small campus. It might not be graceful, but ultimately and in the long term for the human race... it's a Good thing. I'm convinced of that fact.

I'm such a fan of "The People"... as long as we can leave religion out of a peaceful mix.
