Now!
Hopefully bringing Reason and something Good to the world... one song at a time.
Time for me to get back to working on a fun, fun project.
And so the updates here at this site might get spotty again. I mean, I might add a new update about 3 or 4 times a week instead of daily. But check back every day so you don't miss anything, okay?
Yes. I know. I said that about a week ago. I said that I was gonna concentrate on writing this new theatrical project and I was going to get the next concert event set before the Spring. I'll have that announcement very soon. But I was all set to concentrate of the Good stuff. And then some insane person goes and shoots a politician in the head and kills several people, setting off a chain of even more insanity and incredulous stupidity in the American "news" media. So y'know... I couldn't leave it alone!
Ha! Glenn Beck has, of course, shown himself to be either a complete fraud or completely insane... or both. Probably both. (And there's no excuse. If you think he has an ounce of sincerity in him you must be nuts, too.) And in her own mind, Sarah Palin has turned out to be the "victim" in all that went on last week, and calls people like me reprehensible.
YOU can let me know what YOU think by click this link. (Maybe I'll post some of your feelings here in the site next week!)
But, let's get back to having a little fun around here with people who actually "get it".
Let me leave that alone for now and start you off today with a few videos that have to make you feel Good! The first is just a cover song from the concert here in New York City last month.
A COVER SONG
.
Oh listen! Before we go any further... if you're new around here, or you're at all interested in my feeling about the events of the past week or so you can check out these updates:
OKAY, moving onto a couple of original songs we did at the concert!!!
The comments are still coming in from the 2 newest videos. If you haven't become a part of this yet, you can watch the videos right now and then hit the link to briefly let me know what you think about the songs and what they have to say. Check out these two brand new songs and let me know what you think. Seriously. Shoot me an email and give me your reactions to both songs... "My Stupid Country" and "Can't You See?"
It's really cool for me to see how these songs land on the people who hear them.
I don't know where in the country or where in the world you're reading this right now. But if you're here in New York City, the diners and coffee shops are jammed with people most of the day. So... stay home and write down your thoughts about these songs and then email them to me, okay?
Here's the first:

I'm really enjoying all of your comments about the newest songs, so keep 'em comin'! This was the LIVE debut of this next song a few weeks ago here in NYC.
And if you'd like to leave your comments directly on the YouTube page for everyone to read and to get the conversation going around the world, this is the link! It's also the link you can copy and send to your friends... or just tell them to visit this site!

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
