Today it's just about sadness and reasoned thought.

If you're religious, say a little prayer in your fashion. But if you're like me, fill your heart with Love and send it out to the world today. Do something kind for someone today. Put a little Love out there.

Gabrielle Giffords is a member of Congress. She was shot and very nearly killed. But 14 others were shot and injured, and 6 were killed in the same shooting... one of them a 9 year-old girl. My thoughts are with all of the people who know them and love them.

I received a couple of emails from people who I know and a few people who actually love me. They expressed concern for me, singing the songs that I sing and writing the thoughts that I write here at this site in today's political and social climate in this country. I want to re-assure everybody of 3 things...

1. There have always been angry, unreasonable, fear-based, dangerous, unbalanced people out there. But they are outnumbered by the billions by good-hearted, beautiful people in this world.

2. I'm absolutely certain... absolutely sure that no one's ever gonna take a pop at me in the park or anywhere else.

3. And... I'm not gonna stop speaking out and singing out anyway. And I wouldn't ask anyone else to stop either.
