Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center on West 67th Street
This is gonna be a special night, I can feel it already. Check yesterday's update to see who's gonna be in the audience with you guys. And we'll be singing all of your favorites and some new songs. I'm sure we're gonna hafta do songs like "Facebook is a Stupid Idiot" and "Tom Cruise Scares Me". But we'll also be doing some songs for the first time as a band like "You Might Be Her" and "The Last Protest Song".
Before I get to the regular update... I have some tickets news for the concert this Saturday night!!!
As is the practice for all all independent artists who put up concerts like this one, a whole block of really good seats in the orchestra had been held for "industry" and "media" types. And as is the custom... a whole bunch of them are NOT gonna show up!
So... TODAY at noon, about 16 really good seats were released for sale!!!
If you've been holding off buying tickets, today might be a really good day to call the box office.

.
So call a few friends and then call the box office. I guess you can get the same seats by getting your tickets "online" today and just indicating that you want the best seats available! If they go really fast, you probably oughta know that the balcony in Merkin Concert Hall is designed so that you are right on top of the stage. So honestly, there isn't a bad seat in the house.
Okay? Call the box office or you can get tickets online any time day or night.
Click on this banner to grab your tickets right now!
.
Call a few friends, round them up, make plans to make a night of it.
.
This has been another typically amazing year for me creatively. I mean, in 2 nights I'm gonna be able to play for you guys and I'm really looking forward to flying a few new songs past a live audience. One of them was just finding it's legs at the end of the summer in 2010.
Click on each photo for larger image. . . .
.
And if YOU are IN the theater, you will be able to share this gig with friends and family all across the country and around the world.
It's just another really fun thing to do.
We're gonna stream the concert LIVE to the entire planet!!!
THE CONCERT IS GOING TO BE STREAMED LIVE ON DECEMBER 11.
Now -- if you live anywhere in or near New York City, you oughta grab tickets so that you can be in the house, and then tell all your friends and family who live far away to watch it on their computers that night. It'll be a cool way for you all to share something special at a very cool time of year.

Um, one more time -- HERE ARE THE REGULAR GALLERIES. Let's take a look back at this year's "outdoor" season. ' Cause when we fill Merkin Concert Hall and fill it with music and that "It's Just Us" feeling, you can look around and see a lot of the same smiling faces you see around you all summer in Central Park. Here's a photo galleries from this season. This one exists largely because of the enthusiasm and camera work of publicist Laura Manske and others who send in photos. The 2010 gallery will continue to grow as we finish out the year "indoors".
(No matter where in the world you're reading this, if you've ever hung out with me you might find your smiling face in one of the galleries!!!)

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
