Missed you guys last weekend.
I'm still kind of in withdrawal from all the typically amazing afternoons of music and laughs we share in Central Park all year.
.
.
We had an amazing summer and we're about 6 weeks away from the big concert on December 11th. But as luck and the Universe would have it, we've got something very cool to do tonight to break up the week.
.
I was asked to be the guest artist at...

9:00 - CAFFE VIVALDI
32 Jones Street (In The Village)

NO COVER -- JUST SHOW UP A LITTLE EARLY TO GET A GOOD SEAT.
This gonna be something very cool. Think of it as a little fix of "Central Park". Think of it as a little warm-up for the BIG concert in December. Cassie is one of my favorite songwriters in the world and when she asked me to be the next guest in this series I had to say "Yeah!"
If you're not doin' anything, head down to Caffe Vivaldi. I know you won't be sorry. I'm thinkin' we're gonna talk about the Creative process, and the business of music, and our lives and our songs. And if you've spent anytime around me at all, you know... we're never exactly sure what the hell's gonna happen when I have a guitar on my shoulder. (Hey listen, just to be in the same room with Cassie and a piano is worth the trip!)
Hope I see you down there tonight.

Okay... on with the update!!!
I'm workin' on a brand new song for the concert on a few weeks. It's been a lot of work. I mean, some songs flow. This one has been a grind. But it's turning into a lot of fun. I think this is a kind of an amber-waves-of-grain-folk-country song which says something that needs to be said. I'm looking forward to rolling it out at the gig on December 11th.
Here are a couple of ways for you to grab your tickets TODAY!!!
"The Something'th Annual Year-End Concert"
.
I know. I know. You're thinking, "I've got plenty of time to get tickets."
And... you do.
But this might be a good weekend to start calling some friends, really making plans. Y'know? This thing happens in the second week of December, right around the time so many of you religious-types are celebrating holidays and stuff. It's the time of year when friends start thinking about getting together as one year ends and we turn another page on the calendar.
For me it's just a cool tradition and a chance to share a stage again with some of the most talented, sweetest, funniest artists in New York! So here's the number for the box office if you wanna call them directly to speak with Elizabeth.
212-501-3330
.
Or you can order them online right now...

So call a few friends, round them up, make plans to make a night of it... and then grab tickets sooner than later!!!
.
Um, one more time -- let's take a look back at this year's "outdoor" season. ' Cause when we fill Merkin Concert Hall and fill it with music and that "It's Just Us" feeling, you can look around and see a lot of the same smiling faces you see around you all summer in Central Park. Here's a photo galleries from this season. This one exists largely because of the enthusiasm and camera work of publicist Laura Manske and others who send in photos. The 2010 gallery will continue to grow as we finish out the year "indoors".
(No matter where in the world you're reading this, if you've ever hung out with me you might find your smiling face in one of the galleries!!!)
