Let's start off with The Yankees! Right now they've got The Twins where they want 'em.
Take care of bidness on Saturday night!
And for music in the park... well, could the timing be any better?
We had a very unsettled and spotty week of weather as the first Autumn winds are blowing into The Big Apple. But tomorrow is looking like it's gonna be another perfect day to put a guitar on my shoulder and hang out in Central Park with a few thousand of my closest friends.
Hey listen... I got a lot of great feedback this week from a particular update from a few days ago. A lot of people really dug 2 new videos that were here on the site. So I'm gonna re-post them next week. And I'll have a few brand new videos here next week.
FIRST -- gotta tell you a few things.
TODAY -- I sent a little something over to by buddy in the UK on BBC radio... Dominic King. Somewhere between 11:00am and 2:00pm our time he's gonna play a little clip I sent him of Sid Bernstein wishing John Lennon a Happy Birthday. You can listen LIVE to BBC Kent and Dominic's show this afternoon by clicking on this link.

TOMORROW I'm going to make an announcement about the tickets for "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert". This year it's on Saturday night, December 11... which means you have about 2 months to round up a bunch of friends and concoct plans to make a special night of it. It's a great thing to do around the holidays and to wrap up the end of the year. Y'know? Plan on having dinner with some good friends and then all head over to Merkin Concert Hall near Lincoln Center. Or meet up at the gig and go out afterward!
CHECK BACK TOMORROW!!!!! We laugh as much as we sing at these things. Very cool. So, check back for the ticket announcement.
AND... tomorrow, I'm gonna post a couple of very special John-Lennon-related videos out of The Archive. And I'm gonna head out to the park one mo' time. It's gonna be a kind of great in Central Park. Since it happens to be John Lennon's 70th birthday, I'm thinkin' there's gonna be a lot of really cool energy in the park all day.
Y'know? John Lennon loved New York City, and NYC loved him.... still does.
Here are a bunch of photos of John hangin' out in the park... with some friends and loved ones a few years back. (If you look closely in some of these photos, you can see "The Hill" that we call home in the shadow of The San Remo on the West side of the Lake.)

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
