Hey guys... welcome to the website!

Quick look back at a few images from this past summer.

Click on each photo for larger image.
. . . . . .

.

There's a much larger gallery further down the page, as well as a link so that you can grab your tickets for "The Something'th Annual Year End concert" in December.

.

But y'know what!?

I've been telling you that the webmaster of this site, Evil Genius James Marino, was having some issues with the email system we were using.... so we had to move everything and change a whole bunch of stuff.

And you know that I've been saying for years how the "bad guys" (The mortgage bankers, pharmaceutical companies and penis enlargement guys) ..."the spammers", have ruined email for small businesses and independent artists like me.

Well... I think I have an idea. I think I have a really grassroots way to reach people to let them know about the concert on December 11th. I wanna see if we can fill that beautiful concert hall again and make that feeling in that room as special and as fun as it is every year!

But I'm gonna need your help!

I'll flesh-out this idea a little more and get back to you tomorrow okay?

Please, please check back tomorrow and I'll have something very specific for you to do if you wanna help. (And you won't even hafta leave your computer chair!!!)

*******************************

Okay!!!!

Once again, welcome to all of you checkin' in here from different parts of the country and different parts of the world. Here in New York City, the leaves are just beginning to change in Central Park. That means we're getting close to kickin' another year in the ass as it heads out the door. the way we do that is with a great night at Merkin Concert Hall.

It's actually called the "Something'th" annual concert because nobody can remember how many of these things we've done. I'm thinkin' I must've played that venue at least a dozen times or more.

OH!!!!!!!

Before anything else today... last night I started seeing the first commercials for the new Harry Potter movie. Let's start of this update with a song I'm definitely gonna hafta play at the gig in December!!! Here... click on the image to check out the song and watch the video.

Now one more thing about that song!

IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!

I'm serious!

Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.

.

***************************
I hope you're all coming to the concert in December.

Once again, this year it's on a Saturday night!!! That's so cool. It's a great time to get together with a whole bunch of friends and hang out in a beautiful music venue right near Lincoln Center in Manhattan.

It's "The Something'th Annual Year End Concert" and it's on December 11th.

.

More about that after this breaking news!!!

Once in awhile, thatguitarman.com gets a shot at an exclusive article. You won't read this anywhere else.

Pretty wild, hah?

Well, I promise only one thing... there won't be any songs about the Chilean miners at this year's gig at Merkin Concert Hall. I did, however, wake up with an idea for a brand new song that I might just roll out with the band at this show.

AND!!!!! We're streaming this show LIVE all around the world again. So there just might be a YouTube moment or two. I mean, that's what happened with "Facebook is a Stupid Idiot" and nearly a half a million views later, it's still going!!!

Y'know?

When we fill Merkin Concert Hall and fill it with music and that "It's Just Us" feeling, you can look around and see a lot of the same smiling faces you see around you all summer in Central Park. Here are a couple of photo galleries from this season and last. These photo galleries exist largely because of the enthusiasm and camera work of publicist Laura Manske and others who send in photos, and the 2010 gallery will continue to grow as I add more photos over the next few days.

(No matter where in the world you're reading this, if you've ever hung out with me you might find your smiling face in one of the galleries!!!)

In fact I hafta ask... here's the question:

What songs do you want to hear me do live, solo and with the band?

Click on this link and let me know.

It's kind of a good problem to have. I mean, 8 albums later and a whole bunch of songs like "Facebook..." and "You Might Be Her" and "Hey American" and others that never made it into a collection... every year I know I'm not gonna get 'em all in. So why don't you start thinkin' about it and send me the songs that you'd like to hear and sing along to.

Cool?

AND -- start calling your friends so you can get the best seats sooner than later. Here's a banner you can click on to reserve your seats right now. Now call a few friends, round them up, make plans to make a night of it... and then grab tickets sooner than later!!!

Okay now...

Here are a couple of different galleries.

.

HAVE FUN TODAY!!!!!! (And be cool to each other, okay?) I'll be back tomorrow with another update.

.

Thanks for everything.

.

PEACE

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
