Here we are in the final days of another amazing year in Central Park.
Y'know? I very often say that I'm not all that impressed with a lot of what we like to call "grown up" stuff. But one really cool thing about being a grown up is... summer is over when I say so. I mean, summer is over when the weather gets cold, not when school starts or when people stop wearing white after Labor Day and all that crap.
Yesterday it was 84 degrees, sunny... and a few thousand people were hangin' out by a lake sharing music and laughs! Not a bad thing to do with a September afternoon.
If you were with me in the park yesterday.... THANKS AGAIN!
I'm gonna be sharing video and photos from yesterday all week here on the site so you'll hafta check back every day. Maybe you'll see yourself or someone you know. Let me start you off with just a few photos from the camera of publicist Laura Manske who was out there shooting again.

TONIGHT!
(Man! I'm a lucky guy!)
Tonight I'm heading up to "Da Bronx" with a good friend to catch The Yankees finish out the 2010 season at home with another game in the greatest rivalry in professional sports... against The Boston Red Sox. (Thanks Andrea!)
After the last 2 games... I'm hoping they get back on track. The boys ain't lookin' like they're firing on all cylinders right now heading into the post season. I guess if you're gonna slump a little, it's better now that a week from now.
Still... gotta take care of business tonight.

Hey listen... it's Sunday. So that means, as an artist, I'm still buzzing a little bit with the energy that can only come from from doing exactly what I know I'm meant to be doing with my life. But on a typical Sunday morning I spend a little time shouting at the television... (Yeah, heaven help me. I still force myself to watch programs with professional liars and self-inflated media types like Meet the Press and The Chris Matthews Show.) But then I usually spend Good part of the day quietly reviewing the beauty and the power of the previous day.
Today, I'm thinking back over the entire Summer season... year #19 at "The Hill" in Central Park.
Today I'm overwhelmed with wonder and with gratitude to every single one of you who spent even one day with me. This song is for you.

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
