Here we are again...

... on another beautiful day in September following another typically amazing day of music and laughs in Central Park. All I can ask is... were you out there with us?

What a great, great time I had yesterday! Seriously. Teresa Reynolds jumping and singing. HOT DOG DAY! All of your shining, smiling faces.

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

(What a great thing to be able to do with a Life. I mean it.)

JUST TO START YOU OFF FOR THE WEEK... here are just a handful of photos sent into the website by publicist Laura Manske. She was out there again with her camera and she even shot some video. So we'll have a little fun around here all week.

I'LL BE BACK.

Listen... I'm gonna be back a little bit later today or early tomorrow with a complete update.

I can't do the usual update right now 'cause I hafta turn right around, re-pack the equipment and head up to a college just north of town to do another gig today.

If you're new around here, I suggest you bookmark this page and check back every day.I update this site daily and this week I'll be posting lots of photos from yesterday and even some brand new video.

And listen, I've been getting a lot of email from people telling me how much it means to them and how much they are looking forward to spending a Peaceful day with me and my guitar next Saturday. I'm gonna do my best to make absolutely certain I can join you next weekend at "The Hill", even if only for a few hours on Saturday, September 11.

You'll hafta check back. I'm gonna do my best to make that happen.

*************************************

TODAY I'm heading out of town for a fun gig up at Mercy College just north of the city. Really looking forward to putting my guitar on my shoulder and hangin' with a whole bunch of new students... kinda welcome them to New York area.

***********************************

For today, I'm gonna leave the ugliness of the comments and email I got from the right-wing conservatives in this country out of the update and out of our consciousness. (There are a lot of really screwed up people in this world.) Last week was a reminder, but today let's not even think about that!

It was all in reaction to a current song and video of mine that stirred up little ruckus last week among people who just don't "get it". (But it also brought out the best of 99% of the people who listen to my music and visit this site.)

So I'll post this new video and a few fun videos today. And then... just keep checking back. We'll have some more fun around here all week.

This is the newest song that's makin' the rounds on the internet. It's about the national disgrace and embarrassment to all thoughtful people everywhere that's happening downtown in my own hometown.

You might wanna check out my original thoughts by hitting this link. I received an awful lot of email in response to both updates. Most of the people who dig my music are people who just "get it".

But the written word didn't seem enough for me as an artist. So in the last couple of days, I buried myself "in the cave" and wrote a new song.

You can watch it by clicking on this image.

There are lots of FUN videos, lots of FREE songs to download... and that's another reason to browse The Archive.

Like I said, there are also some fun videos making their way around the country and around the world. Here's one about the upcoming final installments of the Harry Potter series of movies. It's a song about the character, Hermione Granger.

Here... click on the image to check out the song and watch the video.

Now one more thing about that song!

IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!

I'm serious!

Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.

OKAY!

.

Now, that other song about "Facebook... Idiot" is still rocketing around the world. As of today, almost a quarter of a million people all around the planet are passing it around. (Must struck a chord inside a few people.)

If you haven't seen it yet...

Pass it on to all you friends. Post in anywhere you want! Now one more thing about that "facebook" song! You can also get that one for yourself!

Click on this link and also get this song right now!!!

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
