Yes...

TODAY!

Heading back home... heading back to "The Hill" in Central Park.

.

Man! This "changing the world for the better" business is hard work. And While it's always fascinating and fulfilling, sometimes it's not very pleasant or fun. (You can see why I say that if you follow the link to this update.)

So it's gonna feel really good to shake off any of the negative experiences of last weekend and get back out to the sweet, cool people who will likely gather by The Lake today.

I really missed you guys last weekend. I'm gonna crank it up today around 1:00.

And Teresa Reynolds is heading back out there again with me today. We're probably gonna try to run a few new things past you guys. And I spoke with my buddy and colleague Ryan Cavan earlier this week. He might head out there to jam on a few songs as well. And... I actually never know what's gonna happen out there.

Listen, if you're new around here... welcome. You might wanna hit The Archive and catch up with what's been goin' on around here for... um... the past 19 years.

Here's a whole gallery of photos from this season so far.

Oh yeah... if you're in town and you've never been out to "The Hill", here's a little map that shows you where you can find us today. It shows you exactly where we are in New York City's beautiful 843 acre backyard.

You can click on this image for a larger, printable version.

And since this another update on a SATURDAY... I always hafta remember that some of you are checking in from a different part of the country or a different part of the world, and some of you are checking in here because you're in New york and you wanna know if I'm gonna be in the park today.

But many of you are stopping by for the first time because it's later in the day and you joined me in the park for the very first time today. I mean, if you're reading this because this is your first time here and it's later in the day and you actually WERE in the park with me today, GO BACK THROUGH THE ARCHIVE and see what we've been up to around here! I've got a whole bunch of really FUN videos here and on YouTube.

This is the newest song that's makin' the rounds on the internet. It's about the national disgrace and embarrassment to all thoughtful people everywhere that's happening downtown in my own hometown.

You might wanna check out my original thoughts by hitting this link. I received an awful lot of email in response to both updates. Most of the people who dig my music are people who just "get it".

But the written word didn't seem enough for me as an artist. So in the last couple of days, I buried myself "in the cave" and wrote a new song.

You can watch it by clicking on this image.

OKAY... but now this might lift you up a bit. Let you know whow we feel around here at this website.

Here are a few thousand people standing up for principle and takin' it to the streets a week ago. This event was organized by a group called New York Neighbors for American Values. Please check them out.

Y'know!?

There are lots of FUN videos, lots of FREE songs to download... and that's another reason to browse The Archive.

Like I said, there are also some fun videos making their way around the country and around the world. Here's one about the upcoming final installments of the Harry Potter series of movies. It's a song about the character, Hermione Granger.

Here... click on the image to check out the song and watch the video.

Now one more thing about that song!

IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!

I'm serious!

Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.

.

***************************

OKAY!

.

Now, that other song about "Facebook... Idiot" is still rocketing around the world. As of today, almost a quarter of a million people all around the planet are passing it around. (Must struck a chord inside a few people.)

If you haven't seen it yet...

Pass it on to all you friends. Post in anywhere you want! Now one more thing about that "facebook" song! You can also get that one for yourself!

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
