"Well, on Friday night I played the sun down on the Hudson River on a grass-covered pier in the glow of the Empire State Building, with the Statue of Liberty looking on."

Then yesterday, I put my guitar ion my back and headed to Central Park. Nothing really official. Just something I've been doing for... um... an entire generation. Started playing my songs and in a little while, I was hangin' out with a few thousand New Yorkers and people from all across the country and different parts of the world."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Hmmmm. Not a bad thing to do with a weekend."
"Nope.... or a Life."

Now one more thing about that song!
IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!
I'm serious!
Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.

NOW, I HAVE TO RE-POST THIS FOR A LOVELY YOUNG WOMAN WHO WAS IN CENTRAL PARK YESTERDAY. (In fact, it might be a good thing for everyone to watch this video!)
Yesterday, I neglected to play and sing my song "The Religion Song". (Very unusual for me.) So today I want to talk to you a little about a special kind of... enlightenment.
I very often say that I am just about the least religious man you will ever meet. In fact, I've taken that thought a bit further in my song - THE RELIGION SONG.
Now, I'm also not one of those people who subscribe to the thought of the philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche who said... "God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him." Because I'm comfortable not knowing the unknowable. I think it was the great philosopher D. Harry who said, "A man's got to know his limitations."
Anyway, I think you will get an insight into me as both a man and as an artist if you just watch the following video, and discover for yourself how, through my new daily, morning meditation or mantra, I have become the kind of songwriter I am today.
Please take a few minutes and enjoy this video message. (But don't cheat yourself. Listen to the whole thing.)
And give it a few seconds to load, okay?
.
Now...
Now you understand.
.
.
(Thank you, Osho!)
OKAY!
.
Now, that other song about "Facebook... Idiot" is still rocketing around the world. As of today, almost a quarter of a million people all around the planet are passing it around. (Must struck a chord inside a few people.)
If you haven't seen it yet...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
