It's soooooo cool that I get to use these 2 words in the same sentence when I'm trying to describe my weekend in Central Park when I have a guitar on my shoulder and I get to hang with all of you.
Typical... and amazing.
Yesterday was just another in a long string of typically amazing days. If you were out there in Central Park with me...
THANKS AGAIN!
.
That great fiddle player and songwriter, CHRIS TEDESCO showed up!!! Rocker Jessie Galante jumped in for a song. Aside from the fact that the decibel level over at Summer Stage across the park has gotten wwwwaaaayyyyyy out of control, we had another amazing day.
Seriously. We all oughta start emailing somebody and calling 311 to tell somebody that Summer Stage is insanely and unnecessarily loud if the bass is thumping your chest a quarter mile north and west of the stage... which faces south. (Just don't mention my name or they'll give me a harder time than they already do!!!)
We had a good time anyway.
I'll have a bunch of photos and maybe some video from yesterday very soon.
If you're new here, you're gonna wanna check back all week. I will post lots of photos from both yesterday's gig at "The Hill" by The Lake and the last sunset concert on Friday night. Out of all the times I've ever played down on Pier 45, this past Friday night was simply the most wonderful. It really was. Thank you to every single one of you who created an amazing memory for me at the end... by singing me off into the sunset.
.
IN FACT.... if you're new you might wanna go back through the Archive and catch up a little.

Now one more thing about that song!
IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!
I'm serious!
Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
