Thanks for the overwhelming response to this Wednesday's Update. All in all, it was very encouraging. (And if I'm not pissing off and shaking some people up, then I'm just not doing my job!)
I know there are always many, many people reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. But if you're checking in here like so many people here in New York do on a Friday to see what's goin' on music-wise this weekend...
YES! Back at "The Hill" in Central Park tomorrow.

And TONIGHT!
Hey, not to sound dramatic but...
Tonight is our last sunset.

Man! That sounds like there's a song in there somewhere!
But it's true. The weekend is here and I'm gonna be making music tomorrow and every Saturday afternoon in Central Park through October. But TONIGHT is the last concert in the "Sunset on the Hudson" series.
We had a really wonderful time down there again this year. I wanna publicly thank Ian Kaley of the Hudson River Park Trust, and the incredibly professional and cool staff he assembled this year.

This year was by far the smoothest and most fun it's ever been. And besides the.... um.... the one night with the... uh... tornado warnings... we had a string of amazing weather and beautiful sunsets to share with each other.
So, I'm gonna celebrate the end of that season with a nice photo gallery made up of photos sent into the website from publicist Laura Manske, gig-regular and good guy Phil Carracci, and a few others.

Teresa Reynolds made it down for the first time this year. "The-below-fourteenth-street crowd" got a treat. This woman is something special. I love singin' with her!

Oh, here are more photos from an amazing summer. We made so many cool memories. Besides the fact that we got Teresa Reynolds to show up and sing a bit, that wonderful singer/songwriter Mark Aaron James also came down and jumped in on two different nights. Then there was that little, pint-sized Stones fan who sang "You Can't Always Get What You Want".
Who's the luckiest independent artist in New York? It's me right?
Holy shit! Once again I'm about to begin another 36 hours that will contain 2 really casual, really amazing, really unusual, really "real" gigs in the greatest city on the planet, surrounded by thousands of people from all over the country and all over the world.
The weather is lookin' like it's gonna be perfect for tomorrow. So if you're staying in town while all the really annoying people head to The Hamptons, I hope I see you out there hangin' with me and a few thousand of our closest friends. For anyone who's new around here... go back through the Archive and catch up a little.

The new song and music video about "Hermione..." is making it's way out there into the world. (And now it's available on itunes!) And the song about "Facebook..." is still being shared by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. It's a very cool... very strange time in which we live!
Let's get right to the "Harry Potter" video. Seriously! When I get an idea that is this silly, this fun, this ridiculous... it just HAS to be done!
HERE'S THE SONG AND VIDEO!

Now one more thing about that song!
IT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD!!!
I'm serious!
Now you can download the song itself, and walk around with it in your ipod or mp3 player and sing it to yourself on the bus, in the subway, in the car... while you're on facebook.
As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer. - Dean
